Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

How are you

While out driving the other day. I reflected on that question myself. We are asked, at least I am, on a fairly regular basis. I was out driving the back roads, and needed to find my way, or get my bearings. After a while, the farm land was starting to all look the same. In other words I was getting weary, and needed a change. Searching the skies I saw a steeple off in the distance, in the countryside here, both in Quebec and Ontario, you can always count on a church steeple to guide you towards “civilization”

It was a peaceful day for me, and certainly the quiet appeal of the church sitting, basking in the sun, added to my “mood”. The manicured lawn and large paved entrance was a huge contrast to the visions I had been enjoying on the back roads. Another visual of the differences in life.

I am fine, thank you to all who have asked. Life IS different, my personal space has been reconfigured. To that end, all my past experiences, adventures, and lessons have served me well. Possibly the enormity of the change has not quiet fully dawned on me, but it is present. I feel it, and I do intellectually “know” it. So yes I am fine, but am I REALLY fine,I think it is too soon to tell. No one can predict the future. And, every day is NEW.

No two friendships are alike, therefore, how I am although influenced at times by my immediate circle of friends, changes, why, because at the core of it all is ME. And the secret I am sharing, is that Me, myself and I is constantly being kept busy with the help of the Universe, with reminders that I am never alone. Service yesterday at the church, where the ceremony of appreciation to our Ancestors and those who have helped us become who we are, was performed. For me was very calming and spiritually refreshing.

For that is a focused prayer of appreciation and thanks to all my family. friends, past and present who make me the person I am today. I like me, and I really and truly do appreciate each and every one of you, for you touch me in ways that transcend mortal definitions. Love is PEACE.

Once you’ve prepared everything to the best of your ability seize any opportunity that comes your way, take action without hesitation. Express yourself to the fullest.

The world is not only full of colour, but provides us with an abundance of textures, variation on shades and so much more, Yes there is beauty in a flower, but the subtle shading of the vegetation that often is the back drop for a flower(s), is more lasting, and enduring. Changing with the season we can never be bored. We need to see beyond transient beauty. The icing though good, and often very pretty, would be nothing without the cake. It exists because of the cake.

an early birthday surprise….

Many years ago, I would not have known who Neymar Jr was, nor would I have wanted a futbol shirt. See how time changes us. Time and the various experiences we live shape our development. A stint in a Spanish country, a visit to the French seaside, life is full of possibilities. Each step we take outside our comfort zone, makes us stronger.

Tomorrow the 11th. in PL we will be celebrating Ancestors day. In some countries it is already tomorrow. For my many friends on the same time-table as myself, wake to a new day, and be thankful for who you are today.

Show your appreciation by giving back to the world around you.

Cool Monday

Good morning everyone, look what I came across the other day. No, not for me, I brought it to the attention of someone else who was delighted. Her husband explained, she had one rooms with wall to wall villages, all for the month of December. Yes, it was kept out all year, there was too much of it to put away each year only to be taken out again in a few months. Her happiness at this find was INFECTIOUS.

I happily went on my way towards the area I wanted to check out. But it was a good reminder on how another person’s happiness can have such a positive effect on others. Everyone around got into the “spirit” as she told us about her Christmas room. Meanwhile for me it was back to the search for items to work into my fright journal. –smiles— just thinking about the black soot pages, splattering of dried blood, and other fiendish fun things I can find.

To each one’s own…. pleasures be… and happily for me, I delight in the décor and fun of Hallow’s eve…. pour me another ! coffin- tender… stale black coffee with a lot of ice….make sure it is cold enough to turn my fingers blue…and I’ll thank you with a wink from my stitched and bleeding eye, if you are quick about it, I will tip you with a 1000 year old egg.

ON a serious note..Service is at 10 tomorrow... {Ancestors Day ceremony} by then, we hope to have tamed the brat in me.

Relax. I said, relax, sometimes the word itself is like an exLax

ever notice that

when all the while you thought you were relaxed

maybe to some the word relax could be replaced by passed out

no somehow I doubt that

Once more I saw the open doorway, showing me the path to the other side, this time I dared to wander closer.

There was a silence in the air, yet, there was a breeze and the bird (on the right) made a soft cooing sound as he flew by. His bright feathers so fitting against the blue skies

As I walked my feet made no sound, yet the grass beneath my feet was soft and lush.

The pathway was inviting, I gladly let it lead the way.

Around each corner a new discovery. Can you imagine my delight.

I felt rather than saw the light that seemed to guide me along through the growth that surrounded me on all side. I knew no fear, I felt content and aware of the life around me.

There was much to see and take in. Such creativity, such vision.

When I entered a great hall, I felt small, I was one of many to stand within the walls, I stood alone at that moment in time, yet in my heart I knew, I was not alone. I was surrounded by each and every one of you. See you are here now. . Just not at the moment I was there. (smiles and winks)

There is much to see, enjoy, learn, and share as we grow as human beings and wandering souls. Don’t be afraid to share and love the ALL that you are. Dreams are part of our reality. Whether you believe, or not.

The other day, I drove by a work site, and saw the mounds of earth, with their new growth. It rocked with me I loved it. So much so, that I went back and drove into the construction site, to take pictures.

My very own treasure chest, the dry earth, the cracks, loved it all. I really do marvel at the way nature provides me with such wonders. actually it is for everyone, but some how I don’t think everyone gets as chuffed up as I do about such things.

To have had a macro lens I would have been up there trying to catch every nook and cranny that took my fancy.

We are all different, we all take in the world around us in our own way. That is what makes the environment and the populations in it, so intriguing and inspiring.

and we are all unique in our own way. What bounty, what tremendous source of inspiration … live happy, be happy, learn, grow and pass it on.

5 a.m wake up call

5 a,m, here, now, the whole house is stirring there is nothing to do but get up and start the day.

Bom dia, bonjour, allo, there is no worries that there will be few hours in my day. I have plenty hours stretching out before me, no excuses to not getting more work done in the clearing up, cleaning out of my physical spaces.

Btw I have not cropped or changed the pictures, I am using them just the say my cousin Brian sent them to me. He and Jon are honeymooning, I get to reap the rewards of their wonderful pictures they travel from place to place. There is something to be said of the arm-chair traveller, no packing, no jostling at busy airports, no line ups, etc.. At some time or other we have all been there.

Oh dear I am going to have to look at just what is I that box on the top shelf. I am sure you have all had that experience too. Life is full of these little “treats” reminder to self.. Find the happy in all that you do, to change direction I thought I would go make the bed, There I discovered a big lump !

he graciously got himself up and went somewhere else to have his lie in. Very considerate.

It is now going on seven, I have been successful in removing some of the clutter, but fear not, there is still more for me to do once I take this lot away. happy finding I found where I had put my sloth stamps away.
