The woodland floor is starting to send out lovely green beauties… I discovered a patch in the sunlight the other day when walking around a water logged area .. that needed to be avoided… =^_^= always something fun to find when on a discovery walk.
The ribs are still angry with me from my foray yesterday. So today I will refrain from picking up large/medium,, long pieces of fallen trees to build my little “wood stands” along the trails. The other day I met a racoon, saw a hawk, what will I find today =^_^=… I will have to leave the camera .. it will be too heavy for me with my ribs being so “tender” (yes even with my “cotton” vest that supports the weight)
Reminder… on the 21st. Thanksgiving/day of Appreciation service will be at 7 pm. for those that can attend.
Hello… I took a different path today while wandering in the woods.. Look at what I found. Anyone have an idea, or story on how this came to be?
Mr. Racoon here was my only companion that travelled along with me.. well part of the way.. I did have a hawk fly over who gave me a nod.. but continued on his journey.
I did stop outside the beaver’s home to see if he or one of his family would come along, but, no.. the day was my own. This is where I was, when the hawk flew over head.

Snow has melted, leaving the trees waiting patiently for the sun to warm the ground around them, and to release the awakening sap so that their new buds will begin to appear. Perhaps not as awe inspiring as the fall when they are wearing their autumn colours, but it is peaceful, quiet and there is an anticipation in the air. See the sign, I first showed it to you a couple of years back. By the end of this growing season, it will be interesting to see how much more it will be hidden by the growth around it.
When you face difficulties start with anything you can do. When you are able to grasp the situation, you will surely be able to notice something that you can do.

It looks so quiet, but it was anything but.. the woodlands was alive with sound and activity – yet in its own way, it is the “eternally quiet – that never is…_ https://youtu.be/1jFwdGho1IA my first time to notice and be aware of the grouse… I’d heard the sounds before, but never knew what it was.. Yesterday I was with someone who knew… what a Wow moment.
He/she was not interested in me.. simply walked on by.. and down to the water’s edge. Here are some of the other encounters – You can see it was a very peaceful walk, everyone was just lazing about.
Always be aware of the beauty around you. See who is sharing your day with you, maybe not up close and personal, but under the same vast skies, taking in the fresh spring air.. to harmonize with the world around us, is a gift we give ourselves.
Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.

This is a conservation area I was visiting, thus the many different wildlife. We re very fortunate here in the area, that we are surrounded by green spaces, and not one, but many conservation park. I am grateful and hold a lot of gratitude in my heart.. that I am able to enjoy the richness of the world around me.
The best time is when you notice. When you notice something, it is God sending you a message. Act right away so you don’t miss good timing.

Daily Savings time change… yes… it is an hour ahead… service is at 10: a.m.
I met this photographer some time back, even before I saw his website and his Instagram, I was impressed with his focus and attention to detail. He could look up into the tree tops and point out the birds looking back at us. I actually didn’t even notice him at first, he had been standing a few feet away from me … just observing waiting … I was at the feeders.. tending the birds.
Over time I got to see him often enough that we got to speak to one another. He shared some of his pictures and I was an immediate fan. The other day I found him (minus zero weather) on the ground along a country side road in much the same position as you see him above, but waiting for the robins and their friends to return to a small puddle of open water to drink and bathe. His patience and attention to the moment is so keen.. I am always reminded when I meet up with him.. that I need to slow down and take in the moment, I will only get one chance at it.
Take action without thinking too hard. No matter how hard you try to foresee the future, you really don’t know how things will turn out. Do your best and see how it plays out..

Sometimes in life, this is what happens when we least expect it to.. Other times, we know that there is the possibility that with weather conditions, the driving could get dicey. Still if we need to get things done, then we have to do our best to handle whatever comes our way, with careful attention and not only observe what is happening around us, but stay focused on the task at hand.
Multitasking reduces your joy by half. When doing something give it your all. There is joy in everything.

In the shelter of the trees, the critters and I rather enjoyed the quiet of the woodlands, the crows, ravens and blue jays were not happy with something going on down the trail, they were squawking and aggressively ganging up on???? I didn’t go and see, there were so many of them having a shouting match … I stayed put where I was. Eventually it quieted down, and we simply went back to doing whatever we were into doing. The forest floor began to hum with the activities of the smaller critters, and I went on my way. That is when I discovered the snow was falling heavier and the winds had picked up.
