Wordless Sunday

till soon

PS, Sunday service being canceled simply means, we do our prayers and offer appreciation on our own. A Hokyoshi is only a call or text away if you need us.

adventure near water

the dream of escape

With the water gently lapping against the ship, the moonlight dancing across your half naked body there is a lull in the passing of time. Nowhere to go, nowhere to be…, what reason is there for this moment, none… none at all.

Except with the daylight … comes reality The boat is still docked, the waves still nudge gently against her, we are not lying onboard, at least not in the state of undress

what is real and what is the dream both are realities for they exist in our heads .. our hearts Always we will see the world through our own personal lens

The beauty is… no one .. can take away our personal realities, so if I love you with all of my heart, all of me….. then nothing and no one can take that away from me.

I will always love you. no more, no less…. today is now … Now is, always and forever….

No more.. no less….

There are always choices in life. We are always faced with a bridge.. doesn’t matter what side of the bridge you are on.. there is always a middle, top and bottom. They all come together in US.

till soon

Turbulence – energy of life!
lazy drifting- all part of the ONE

Energy springs from your smile. A smile makes you and others cheerful and energetic.

now and always

A Sunday moment

sit by me,

we can cool our feet in the water

while we waste away the day

we need not speak

no words would do

physically we are two

but, in our hearts we are one

this one moment, is an eternity.

You light up my life…

alone on shore

because I stand alone on the shore

looking out, waiting and watching

does not mean I’m lonely

I stand alone, because it is early in the day

and in my own way

it is a time for me to pray

to stand alone looking out into the vastness of your wonders

encourages me to be strong

to embrace the distance of tomorrow

and to live today, like the waters in this river

allowing the currents to gently take me

with each wave, gently and resolutely towards

whatever shoreline you guide me to.

I know I am never really alone, for always you find a way to let me know you are listening

It is true, sometimes the world takes on a different hue

But…. always, and this is true…. always, I see the wonder that is YOU

I know I am never alone, for YOU are always with me

whether I stand, sit or lie, you are by my side

you take me where I need to be

like the tree, I am rooted in YOU

I extend my arms into your infinity

with the knowledge that

I am a but a part of the whole

Along this same shoreline, where I had been standing musing, I had moments before been along this stretch of the island, and to my wonder and joy had an encounter with a blue heron. To awed to grab for the camera, I simply drunk in the moment, as he/she up and flew away.

PL Precept # 1 – Life is Art.

PL Precept # 2 – To live is to express one’s Self.

Every day is a new canvas, on which we can express ourselves in our own way, We are all different, each one of us is unique, yet we are all connected, we are all ONE

Three years ago, I would never had been up and out walking like I am now.. I would never have had occasion to meet the wonderful people I meet now as I wander the woodlands, rivers and parks…AND I would not have reconnected with Nature the way I do now, or known and seen the wildlife that I am now. NOW is a powerful moment in time.

Much love from my heart to yours.

wander with me

It’s okay to think “This is where it starts”. There is always a turning point. It’s important what you do from now.

Truly, I had good intentions. I saw the parking lot was empty, and decided to try this trail.. I’ve never been interested it is usually full of cars, its a favourite of walkers, runners and families on day walks with children. There were empty feeders along the way, the one above, had remnants of seeds so there was a squirrel and two doves cleaning up on the ground below it. Two black birds had been there, but flew away when I approached.

You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. Babies don’t walk the first time they try.

Even a mistake can turn out to be the one thing necessary to be a worthwhile achievement.

brooding silence

Some evenings I sit in silence – my thoughts travel the distant shores

Often it is a brooding silence that haunts me, clinging to me, shouting for recognition

In far off lands, I walk a shoreline where the wind howls and the seas lash the rugged coast

there my spirit roams, the salty air wraps itself around me

the mist gathers me in, and I am free to simply BE -Q

Energy springs from your smile. A smile makes you and others cheerful and energetic.

Perfect Liberty 2021.4

A smile is something we feel inside, a smile plastered on your face, doesn’t mean you are happy – it is the simplicity of smiling from within that radiates from your eyes and your whole demeaner – being happy is an art.

Energy springs from your smile, when that smile is sincere ..

Be happy, it is a gift we give ourselves.

Monday Monday

photo -Shirley Keen, NZ

This was how I defined myself back in the 70’s and 80’s when I was marketing my “works” (expressions, via canvas and acrylics) My name in Chinese translates to Goddess of the Moon, I have used Moon or Dymoon in my work since forever.

A “Moon” for all seasons. (called my sculptures, canvas expressions, musings, Moon)

Travel thru fantasy and life – Capture the spirit of imagination – Ride the winds of time -enjoy an original “Moon”

Transcend illusions of today.

Realize the truth in reality – a subject, is object, only…… when perceived.

Focus but for a second

Tune in on the moment – Collide with tranquility – calm and serene – You’ve found cosmic peace.

I found one of my old business cards, the first part of the above was on the back of my card. I also used the Chinese writing of my name on the card. You can see I’m still going through the old binder I found with past writings and pictures of the “expressions”

How interesting to see, read and take in what was..

when white is the colour of the day

choice – spend time outside or inside
snow is pristine and beautiful against the contrasting bark on the trees

I wrote this back in the late 70’s… found it today while looking for something else.

Freedom is – a state of mind

Through each moment of the day

We experience, joy, happiness, sadness, anticipation and frustrations.

Emotions, are part of our core

With each breath comes an emotion

How we cope and accept, encounters and interactions with others…

is how much freedom we allow ourselves …

in our journey through life.

To see fragments of life shatter before you

in a glittering array – transcending joy

a new dawning.

thoughts taken from a page of a book I’d stored visual artwork and thoughts such as the above.

It is interesting to see how I captured my thoughts then, & to reflect on them, I think I still see life much the same way… will have to give it more thought though,

I like the contrast of the snow and the quiet moment of reflection in my beach house .. in the virtual world, the weather is always comfortable no matter where we visit, or the terrain we travel. In this world of constant change, we are gifted with new adventures and back drops for our “stories” and “travels”… the newness, the constant discoveries of what IS… makes for a world of wonder. Ours to discover !!!

Tradition

this stamp is available from Canada Post

Tradition in my house is that prior to the new year, I set myself to clearing out the debris from the previous year, to prepare for a brand new year. My parents were very “Chinese” in that they always celebrated the coming of the new lunar year. My Father would take me to the formal functions at the Chinese Consulate, and in later years, my Mother and I would almost always attend the functions at the Embassy. It was very important to her, thus making it important to me. It was a time to meet with friends and family that you have not seen during the year or seldom saw, and importantly meet and make new friends.

There was entertainment and LOTS of good food. I use past tense, only because I have not attended a formal function for years. When my Mother got ill and was unable to attend .. we just didn’t get there, and of course life over the years changed.. My husband than took ill, passed away, and I have been adjusting ..that is what life is.. an ever changing experience.

However that said, that is the social aspect of the coming of the new year. Spiritually, I have maintained and always cherish the time of meditation/prayer of what was.. and what is. In PL, we have special services/ceremonies that are performed 1st of the month, Day of Peace, where we pray for World Peace, the 11th. Ancestors Day, where we give thanks for our ancestors who came before us, making our presence in the NOW possible, and the 21st. Thanksgiving/ Appreciation for the blessings we experienced during the month and where we express our gratitude.

I faithfully attend these services, if not in person, at my own “family alter” it is part of the tradition (in my world) of keeping the commitment to do my best in the new year. The celebration of the Lunar new year, begins .. and then continues (for me) throughout the year, by honoring the decision to be a better person by attending and being present for the services that encourage a positive and useful life of service. Changes begin within ourSelves. For a better world, we have to start with our own behaviour, thoughts and actions.

I will not have complaints about others, matters nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

PL Principle #2

I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things.

PL Principle #3

I will live with the spirit of Misasage (Devotion) working for the happiness of others.

PL Principle # 4

So saying, I look forward to the new year. I live every day as best as I can to be as positive and helpful as I can be. This past year, I have been trying to be better at “self care”. It is easier to look outward than to work on our own shortcomings.

Whatever your thoughts, faith, or life… the lunar calendar begins February 12. You have time to start sweeping.. ( sweeping out the old) to prepare for the coming of the “new”. My red symbols are out, I have already put out my welcome sign at the door .. (welcoming the new year) I’ve put one in my office/studio too, to encourage me when I let the “day” get to me. I look and there is the happy ox smiling at me.

for each and everyone of you.

Always be with God
