A thankful heart leads to happiness. When we really pay attention, we are surrounded by many things we can be thankful for, the society we live in, the kindness shown to us by others. You will be able to find true happiness when you can see and appreciate these things,

As spring slowly opens up to us, we can feel the newness in the air. Small buds are appearing on winter weary branches. There are even brave spring blooms opening their faces and arms to the warming spring sunshine.

There is something so soothing when you are treated to the sound of birds calling out to each other in cheerful greetings. Males are chirping,, pick me pick me… while the female coyly murmur soft replies. Ahhhh ….Spring when romance fills the air…… Wishing you a joy filled day!

Yes… the sandhill cranes are around… their morning calls are so beautiful… the variety of sparrows and finches …willing pose a second or two before flying off again. Even the cowbird yesterday was dashing with the sunlight on his feathers. The sneak was trying to friend a red wing blackbird.

Every key plays a different note,.. assembled together played in different formats, they produce sounds that can be melodic .. it matters where they are played and how they are put together. In life, at one time or another, you will land on different keys. Each landing will produce a different sound, and reaction from you. In some there will be harmony, in others. . . you will draw on your creativity to get past the experience… In PL.. the first precept is Life is Art.

YOU are the result of your daily efforts. Put your whole heart into everything you do in your daily life. Your true self will shine through. PL 2022.10

Q? When you are about to eat, you pick up your utensil, and take a bite… do you finish the first bite before starting on the second?

Do you take time to masticate and thoroughly enjoy each bite?

Rev. Goto recently took the students from the PL School in Japan to the PL church and training center in Hawaii .. he graciously gave permission for me to use this pictures.

There is such beauty, in this picture, yet you can feel the inner energy that lies quietly in a fitful slumber. Human emotions can run deep, one of my Mother’s favourite expressions was.. you should never judge a book by its cover.
