Sometimes it feels like the whole world is happening around you. What is the saying, dance like there is no one watching. Music is a medium that brings people together, no matter what has been going on in your life, what drama has played out during the day, when you can sit back and just relax with the magic of a melody/song, let your mind and thoughts disappear into a world that transports you to another level of awareness. Mind altering. If you are lucky enough to be able to hear live music, and share that experience with others… it is a musical wonderland. Positive energy! Personal journey!

Bom Dia

It is cold and the snow is deep. Hard to sleep when the world around you is in a deep freeze. The finding of a peanut makes the day in a big way.

Whether you are happy or not depends on your perspective. The things that happen in your life are neither good nor bad. It is your perspective that determines whether the outcome is good or unfortunate.

Many of you know that I work and create in a virtual world called Second Life. Applying myself to learning how to work with the new software that is used by creators is something that both frustrates me and leaves me feeling a sense of accomplishment when I can achieve something as simple as learning how to build a male shape and what is involved .. the bodies and the huds are so different from that of the female avatars.

Benz one of my male avatars that I’ve used in my digital photography was due for a serious update. One of the “wow” factors was when dressing him, the creators of this avatar line, have it so that when I change his clothes, if I have had to alpha out parts of his body so the clothes (from another designer) fit properly.. when I undress him, his body magically reappears, This does not happen with the technology used by the creator of the female body I use. This was a fun surprise for me… all in all the hours spent learning a new skill is rewarding.

He went from looking like this… last year… to the picture on the right. this is a work in progress.. but I sure am chuffed. Look for Benz to make appearances in the near future. Who is that with Benz, that is Q, she is the original avatar from when I first began in SL in 2007… she has undergone many transformation… She has firmly told me.. she is retired.

First picture is what the laneway looked like before the snow.. the last picture was taken about an hour AFTER the plow had come by to clear the lane so I could get out yesterday morning. I fortunately turned around about 20 minutes away from my home when I realized that even the main roads, although a plow had gone through, were dangerously rutted with snow caused by the cars that were trying to make their way through. Visibility was not good, blowing snow made it impossible for the wipers to really clear the windshield. I got home put the car in the garage, shoveled the snow away from the garage door piled it where the plow driver could pull it away.. did that all along the side of the house too.

You can see by the pictures of the back deck, it had been cleared of snow down to the wood in anticipation of the coming storm, I had prepared. Still, when I went out to clear a path.. so I can make my way out of the house by the back door should there be an emergency, you can clearly see the dump. It fell hard and fast for hours before slowing down,

Have a “let’s do it” attitude.

Even if a task is difficult, keep in mind it is given by the Universe/God, and accomplish it. (PL2021.14)

Yes, my legs and arms did some complaining, but life is what it is.. and I thanked God/Universe that I have the ability to do it.

on the positive .. the snow .. was feathery light, the air was intoxicatingly fresh… the breeze/wind was teasing…friends touched base to see I was alright… sure in a *perfect world ** I would have been able to just sit by the fireplace and chill with a warm ginger tea, and my love wrapped around me… substitute a heated blanket … and Quincy came to cuddle.. Hey.. life is good! Even Quinn came to purr she actually got on my lap of her own accord. Time and patience.…

Hearts and Flowers month. Will you or do you do anything special for the day? It seems that every year there is a lot of commercial activity, but I see less and less of the actual acknowledgement of the occasion in the “world” around me. In school, I remember having a dedicated activity where we made hand made valentines to take home for our parents. On the day itself, we could bring in cards and circulate them to our classmates. Somehow … I don’t think this happen anymore? Input anyone?

I’m not hearing so much about love these days, I am hearing about football. I understand the Eagles are going to soar! (the final game of the 2024 season will be played this Sunday )

Start by thinking “lets do it!” Once you decide to do something and put your whole heart into it, things will start moving forward. (PL2022.8)

Whatever you are doing today- remember approach everything with the firm belief that, “it will turn out for the best!”

I spent time with a small fierce falcon yesterday. He/she and I had a staring contest, he could have been as curious as I was. My cell phone capture the bird enough so a friend could identify it. I am using a picture found on the internet.

The Merlin is a small species of falcon from the Northern Hemisphere . Bird of Prey it is fast and goes after song birds and shorebirds. Falco columbarius

Evening Grosbeak

Happiness is… looking up and realizing that there is an Evening Grosbeak looking back at you.

Made my day, I just stopped in my tracks and admired … the delight that filled me was instant I waited all last year for a glimpse of one.. and now.. here it was … the moment of sheer pleasure. Bold as brass, it just looked back to acknowledge my admiration… then went back to his breakfast.

Evening Grosbeak is a passerine bird in the finch family. Adult male Evening Grosbeaks are yellow and black birds with a prominent white patch in the wings. They have dark heads with a bright-yellow stripe over the eye. Females and immatures are mostly gray, with white-and-black wings and a greenish-yellow tinge to the neck and flanks.

Good morning, have a look.. that last gate, isn’t it interesting? I wondered, if it was still used, and how deep was/is the drop going up or down once it is opened, The red one I found inviting, probably because it is red. The first one, is forbidding, I’m not encouraged to explore there, to me, it says, Keep away! What are your thoughts? Which one should we explore? I’m game !! ?
