PL Precept #20 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter.

Thanks Chris for permission to use this photo, it reminded me of the many places that I explored with my husband during the lazy summer days of June, July… we’d seek out these out of the way, off the main road little pieces of paradise.

Not one of the trees in the wilderness are the same, each finds its place in the sun and thrives the best it can. Together they present a unified front, against a backdrop of blues skies and fluffy sculptures of cloud.

The cooling waters and unique shoreline, all combine to welcome the visitor, with awe inspiring vistas. Crystal clear air, a melody of natures songs filter through the day. It is peaceful, and when we take time to simply BE in this environment, are inner smile expands.. Our cares, our concerns vanish..

PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.

It is only natural that you are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyles. That’s what makes life interesting.

thrift find

found and captured to share

I’ve found it difficult the past day or so. I was disturbed by the news that one of the famous milestones in younger day, was being taken away, because for some it was offensive. I’m talking about packaging for pancake mix and a pancake syrup

We have learned so much from the past, from the mistakes others have made, in making them huge lessons were learned, and we grew as human beings. Not everyone agrees about history, even in the country I was born in (Canada) there are huge divisions that need to be crossed.

As a person who grew up in an Anglo Saxon, French Canadian culture, I know what it is like to be seen as different. I know first hand what it feels like as a child sitting on a bus, and having it fill up, but on one wanted to sit beside me because of my “colour”

Even when asked where did I come from, and I would say, where in Canada I lived and grew up.. I would be asked again, “no, but where do you come from” “I am Canadian I would say, born here” My Father taught me the importance of being Canadian, instead of learning Chinese, he encouraged and sent me to French kindergarten. Both parents were adamant that being a Canadian, I needed to know the two languages of the country..

Yes I am proud of being Chinese, but I am a Canadian first. I was born here, this is my home.

There was a beautiful statue of a native Indian kneeling looking out over the river behind parliament buildings, I was told of how the Indians had been the proud warriors who fought and lived on the land .. how their history intertwined with ours. It was a beautiful work of art, to me it stood for how wonderful Canada was, that we embraced and respected the culture of the many people who live here.

The marketing for the pancakes and the syrup depicted a beautiful woman of colour, again, it was a symbol of how we loved and embraced all races. (as a child, it was part of life, and it made me feel special, that not all people saw being of a different colour as an oddity)

It broke my heart when I mentioned to a friend that I had heard that the beautiful lady was to be removed because of her colour. How could I tell my friend, who I know loves me, that she was stabbing me in the heart, by saying “its about time” What is about time.. that we take away colour from our lives. live in a plastic bubble where everything has to be white or off white, maybe freckles are allowed.

The journey is not over for me, I will probably live many more years, but I am so sad these days, that the discriminations of the past are resurfacing, I was also told that because someone said, ALL lives matter, the person was dismissed from their work.

It has been eating away at me, did I dare share with you how deeply cut I am about the divison that is happening.

We admire and love the coloured vegetaion in Nature. Are we, human beings not part of nature and the Universe, Why are we being catalogued once more by colour. Why do we point fingers and put blame everywhere else but on our SELVES.

I will never turn my back on someone because of their colour or put down their heritage, Interesting the people shouting and make alot of the noise, are people who are not of colour.. How can they say things with such authority when they themselves have never lived it

Walk in someone else’s shoes to know, what it is like …

I mean no disrespect to anyone, but I felt that I needed to share my thoughts and feelings on a matter that stabs at my heart.

How can we achieve world peace, if all we can do is “take sides”…. I spent years associated with law enforcement, many of us spent hours and dedicated our careers to improving the interactions of “law enforcers” and “citizens” – my heart is screaming from the pain of seeing the division starting all over again.

Be Enthusiastic

If you are willing to deal wth things, you will be encouraged to do so, and will be given a new path. Everything that happens before you is God’s work.

It is important to take the first step, saying “OK, let’s do it” ) translation Mariko Inagaki

Your willingness to learn will make you shine even brighter. As long as you are motivated to learn more, you will continue to progress in life.

It is not always easy to stay positive, to continue towards “the light” when you feel encumbered or surrounded by negativity. In PL we are fortunate to have other members who will offer support and reach out to us, when the light dims… My friend Mariko in Japan, reminds me, that together, when we believe in Oshieoyasma, all things are possible.

Let us practice this lesson with enthusiasm.

I disagreed

hello there.. =^_^=

I’m usually easy going, I do have an opinion, when asked, I have always done my best to be honest with my reply, if I disagree, I tend to soften my stand, unless it is something that really is important.

Today I was asked about whether or not our church should open for Thanksgiving service on the 21st. Contrary to what was said by someone who does not come to the church at all, I feel it should be open for those who would like to attend, observing of course, social distancing, and the wearing of a face mask. Because our members are scattered all across Canada, the actual numbers who can or would physically attend has always been low in number.

Those of us who find comfort in being in the church, some have been with the church since it was built. (the new one).. It is our home, our sanctuary . PL has always been unique in how it offers personal guidance responding to problems of our every day lives.

It is through consultations given by PL ministers, the personal guidance tailored to the individual character and situation that makes PL such a bonding experience.

That the question even needed to be asked.. (.. WOW..) Needless to say, I disagreed with the statement that we stay closed, … and I spoke out. These past weeks have made me realize, that too often, doors are closed, and the support that should be available is withdrawn.

Ministers are front line care givers. Not only the physical body needs to be addressed, now more then ever, we need to feed, heal and nurture our spirits.

a bit of history

from the past

Why this review of the past… I have felt so strongly in recent times, that some of what we all need to remember, is that the wonderful wonders we take for granted , were not always in our lives. We fought long and hard, and dealt with a lot of fighting to achieve the world we live in today.

picture and text taken from Pinterest

WE are currently living in a modern form of war, the landscapes of our lives are showing us challenging times. Many of us, are dealing with an inner war, freedom vs. captivity. Countries are drawing lines and taking sides. Not all news is biased, not all reporting is factual. There are times when omission is just as much a lie as what is said.

In PL. (Perfect Liberty) we strive to live Precept 21, Live in Perfect Liberty.

Not everyone is interested in planes… except if you are boarding one to go on holiday, or to attend a business meeting.. It is a mode of transportation. The above video, will show you a side of the airplane and what a whole mass of people who lived, or live a totally different life than you do.

WE (humanity) are all ONE, we are born, live and die… and each one of us will have our own unique “story” PL Precept #10 Love yourself and others.

PL Precept # 14 World Peace is Everything. Learn from the past, honor the lives lost from all countries. Peace begins at home, in our hearts, in how we live our lives, how we interact with others. Start with what you can control, and that is your own behaviour.

PL Precept #6 Efface your self conceptions. Dare to listen to everything you hear and see with an open mind. Before jumping in.. think.. will my action(s) create peace and goodwill, if not.. please take a moment to reflect.

PL Precept #18 Each moment is a turning point.

WE are all ONE

Hello walls

Freedom…. is “she” gone

Togetherness … have “you” gone away

Think carefully dear friends.. There is a lot of “stuff” happening out there. Don’t let go of your dreams, and your hard won friendships, and relationships. I had a long conversation yesterday with someone who is a very special friend to me. She married my ex-husband (who is currently battling a nasty illness) I heard and listened to her… “version/life” with a man I had known so many years ago.

Life is very precious. The relationships we make at any stage of our lives, is and are, always part of us .. in some way shape or another.

Everyone has an opinion, and everyone is entitled to express and feel their thoughts and to live their dreams.

But… we do not have the right, to force our thoughts and wishes on others. Or to use our talents and means to create negativity that will cause hurt and unrest, that leads to pain, distrust and emptiness in the lives of others.

God/Universe is divine, and is for all of us. We are blessed to live in a time where we can hear almost instantly of situations happening “worlds” away. During the first and second world wars, how many families were torn apart, living day to day, not knowing where a loved one was, or what was even happening miles away.

We trusted in our faith, our beliefs, and we prayed.

Loving one another is a gift we all have been given us. Love is a feeling emotion that we have all lived. If you’ve lost it. PLEASE look for it.. Love, respect and honoring life.. is the only way we will find World Peace.

Find the tranquility in your heart.. and pass it on.

when privacy eludes us

the rudeness of some humans

There are days when getting back under the covers seems to be the best course of action .. however, there is always someone in the “crowd” that has different ideas.

With the sun making its early morning appearance, comes the moment when the human decides its time to get up. Does that mean we have to do likewise? Guess it does. The promise is for very hot and humid weather today.. meaning. .. an early morning “walk/run”

Use things for what they are meant for. Everything has a purpose. Let’s use things to their fullest potential.
