Being Attentive Makes life more enjoyable
Live life paying careful attention to every detail, be it big or small. By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.
My studio mate. She patiently sits waiting to observe, or comment on the goings on in the studio. Lately she is watching me try my hand at acrylic “pouring”.. I am working on being attentive, trying to learn a new technique. Still not sure how I feel about it, but that is what life is, trying something new, if it clicks with me, I’ll pursue it, if not.. I’ll move on. I am practicing the art of “letting go”

time moves on
When I visited the rapids the other day, I was telling my friend how it was many years ago, people sitting on the rocks, enjoying picnics on the grounds. Now access to the water is blocked off for safety reasons. The water is constantly churning and thunders down the channels between the rocks with a deafening roar.
It was gray and overcast on the day the pictures were taken, and I hadn’t expected the pictures to be almost monotone, shades of black and white. They just turned out that way. I find the pictures have a timeless quality to them, I am enjoying them, and allowing the memories to slowly filter into the present.
Today April 14th. the calendar reads..
Be a person who invites happiness
Live your life with good timing and respond quickly to whatever appears in front of you. By doing so, things will keep getting better and better.
I believe that. I drive by on the bridge you see there, often, sometimes, once or twice a week. I travel that way to get to a part of the west end … I don’t even look at the rapids. With the truck windows up… one doesn’t hear the water. Making time to actually stop and visit the park, was unplanned. But in doing so, I have created another great memory. a “happy”
“Happy” makes me smile, “Happy” is a feel good. May your day be filled with lots of “HAPPY”

hello Morning. Watching the particle show last night, I was dazzled by the many displays and the constant changes happening before my eyes. The artist performing the particle show is very gifted, the changes ebbed and flowed to the beat of the music with a rhythm that was almost hypnotic.
As I watched her weave her magic, I thought, “wouldn’t that be something to try to do” that thought lasted but a second or so. Reality tapped me on the other shoulder. If I was doing what Lexxi was doing, then I wouldn’t be in the audience captivated, I would be focused on being creative.(active)
My choice at that moment, was to be her admirer, someone enjoying her talent, allowing my own thoughts to drift and my “battery” to charge, my creativity to be fired up my her talent, and use of it. (passive)
That is balance, that is knowing that there are times to be active, and times to be passive.

Sunday Monday – Happy start of the week everyone….
Bom dia…thought to start the week off with some colour. this was a water-colour I started, it has advanced several steps since the picture, but.. that was the beginning or part of it anyway. Blending, and marrying of different colours, adding texture, and different strokes applied with changing the brush. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is a surprise.
Life is Art, (PL Precept #1) how we decide on what steps we will take, to address challenges/opportunities, will dictate the outcome. We can either accept what we “see” or take creative measures to embellish or completely change what “was”

HI. =^_^= Wanted to show you a page from one of my art journals. This picture so delighted me at the time, I couldn’t pass along the magazine or get rid of it. Finally I started an Art Journal, or a Junk Journal… in it, I put in the various ” art pieces” that have caught my attention. This is one I wanted to use today, but… didn’t fit. So adding it in a post script.
Life offers us so much that challengers our creativity, it is staggering. I love it.
I accept that life isn’t always “fun” but it is powerful, it is an emotion that transcends words, happiness is LOVE and LOVE is GOD.
