With the many prayers and healing thoughts coming our way, how can we not be enriched in every way, by the thoughtful and caring generosity of our friends.

My sister in law was a strong resourceful woman, she battled with medical problems what seems like forever. Yet she raised her family, say her children marry, and then the blessing of grandchildren. Had she stayed around, she and my brother in law would have celebrated I believe their 49th. anniversary.

The last few years saw her visiting the train station, more than I’m sure she wanted to, but an intelligent woman, she knew that a journey was soon to come. I never failed to marvel at her sense of “life” no matter her physical limitations, she always had an aura of vibrancy and life the emanated from her. Everyone who met her, dealt with her, enjoyed her presence. Even in the greatest discomfort, she made you feel welcome by her side. A “true lady”, genteel, she will be greatly missed.

She was a ray of sunlight that shone just a tad brighter than most.

The last few days, we saw the skies cloud over, we felt the murmur and call of the Universe.

One night the stars shone extra brightly, the next morning, we knew, she had spread her wings and flown home where she will shine down on us from up above.

The sunbeams that dance across the lakes, and caress the changing seasons, will always be a bit of Georgina, reminding us, she is not far away, Her legacy and faith in “life” will always BE.

Whenever you need a smile, you can always count on someone to pop up and say – Hey!

Hi! I’m thinking of you… Makes me smile every time.

Everyone gets busy in their own day-to-day living. When someone takes the time to drop in and say hello… appreciate the moment… this is one way the electronic world has changed over the years.. Where before we waited by the mailbox for word from a friend, now… with the internet, a few clicks and the smile is on its way.

This little guy I’ve been dragging around with me for years, I mean YEARS. He was on some magazine cover that someone had thrown out. I rescued him, every so often he pops up, I find him amongst papers, or stacks of magazines.. we share the familiar (by now) hello… and…. puff…. he’s gone till next time.

We need to tidy up and clean house in the fall, I prepare for nesting come the days when it is so cold outside.. we know we will be enjoying it from inside. For all the crafters and collectors out there, check your stash. Time to stock up.

Luna -Porti 9.5.17

Meet Luna, my feel good therapist from the USA. She is a Portuguese Water Dog with an extraordinary ability to make people smile. She has an amazing number of followers who enjoy her daily antics, and her vibrant personality. Of course her human “Mom” does the talking for her, but her eyes and body language I can assure you let us know who the “real” boss is. She is so “darling” that she has an almost full time job modeling canine attire for different companies.

Her full-time job of course is her daily attitude of “Life is good! Let me show you just how good it is” She will patiently sit, and looking directly at the camera will dare you to not smile for her. I would show you her full face, but don’t know if you can stand her cuteness. She is a personality on Instagram tho’…. if you are on Instagram, check her out. lunatheportie 🐱

I appreciate her nature, her being there in living colour, because she always makes me smile. Thank you to “human” mom too….

The other day while driving home, I noticed that a postal van had slowed down going in the opposite direction. I looked over since I was stopped for a red light, and found a face looking back at me.. when our eyes connected, he smiled, no more, no less… I smiled back, and just like that.. it was a brighter day.

Everyday, I look for happiness, I like to share happy moments with friends, and people I meet, or come across in my daily travels. In PL we have 21 Principles we use as guidelines to help us live a better and happier life.

PL Principle #3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things, is a favourite of mine.

PL Principle #12 I will get up pleasantly in the morning This one I find very important, if I start my day with a happy heart, I am more likely to have a much more effective and productive day. Why… because I choose to be happy and enjoy whatever the day brings my way.

PL Precept #1 Life is Art – you hear me say this over and over… every day is a brand new canvas.. own it…

Field fresh tomato, sliced with a toasted bagel, and 4% cottage cheese. I just discovered the 4%, in the past I’ve opted for 1%, BUT with hubby needing as much protein and nutrition as I can get into him. I got the 4%………now I’m in love.. doubt I will go back to 2 or 1% Just looking at the picture I want to have my breakfast all over again. (Natrel by Sealtest)

This is a picture taken by my nephew, Darren Su, he is a wonderful photographer, who can always capture a figure or sunset in a way that shows it at its best. Seeing this picture again, was a reminder to me that in life, we need always be prepared. Not necessarily to do battle, but to seize new opportunities in a way that will be creative and bring our desired results .. this means… it is important to arm ourselves with stress busters and a healthy lifestyle.

Movati 8.31.17 Magical

Futuristic, a playground for my “Me” time. I’ve gone back to the gym. My favourite place, my get away Movati Athletic … It was time, I’ve been back a couple of days now, and it is wonderful. Staff have changed, the older carpet has been replaced, still the magic of the place is intact.

Having started with them back in the late 90’s when they opened, it was where I wanted to be. I went up to the co-ed floor today, a must for me, it means walking up the flight of stairs, there is an elevator, but the whole idea is for me to start rebuilding my whole over-all “body”.

My fit bit was very happy, I finally met and exceeded my goal that I had set for myself. =^_^= sparkles went off when I looked at my figures.. Yay!!!!

On my way home from errands, I went into on of my “haunts” and woweeeee I found a Madame Alexander Doll (2014) She was not in the best shape, her hair was a total mess, and all frizzy. Her body was scuffed and marked, but…. never having had one to check out up close and personal, I brought her home. She has been bathed and washed, and her hair cleaned, but it will be awhile before I get all the knots and frizz under control, IF it can be done.

Took items to the church for the upcoming garage sale, remember everyone, mark your calendars, September 16, Saturday from 8 am – 2 pm. 1010 Hunt Club, Ottawa,On. Church of Perfect Liberty

Icing on the cake… I got home to find a big happy balloon tied to a floral dish garden. Thoughtful friends in Australia, reached across the globe, with their love and healing prayers. Muah darlings, I will write soon.

My husband and I have been overwhelmed with the love and friendship that has been coming our way. This is a journey that is truly blessed in many many ways. We our humbled by the love that has transcended the distance of geography and time. Thank you for letting us know, we are not alone.

tired takes on new meaning

This was a picture a did a while back. I titled it, Dragon Soft, you’ve seen it before shortly after I painted it. As sometimes happens, I paint something put it away, and don’t look at it again, till doing something else I come across it.

Today we are moving into several weeks into the journey of our cancer voyage. Each day is a new day, nd every day, I am blessed with the kind words, and messages of friends who remind me that they are holding us in their prayers and sending healing vibes our way.

It is an amazing feeling to know that there is such caring and thoughtfulness surrounding us. I appreciate it especially when out of the blue, I am struck down with an over-whelming feeling of “tired”. It is like nothing I’ve ever known, and I really can’t describe it. Everything just seems to grind to a halt.. and I NEED.. to sit down, close my eyes, and just wait for the moment to pass.

When my husband is out, I find I’m waiting for him to come home, just so I know he is safe. I know that over the course of the next weeks, even months.. I will be inconsistent with my blog. I beg your patience. I am eternally grateful for your continued friendships and support.
