Japanese noodles in a rich tasty broth
Anticipation, taste sensations, nurturing of the body, Food, what is it with food, we can spend so much time deciding on what to eat, how to cook it, what will go with it, enhance it, and then for some of us, how much to eat of it.
Yet, when it comes to the health of our “mind/spirit” our day-to-day emotions, we allow others to influence and affect the “inner balance” of our personal “self”
PL calendar 3 . Use the power of your smile
A smile has the power to help people feel at ease, cheer them up, and at times, give them courage. Smile and spread your warm-hearted energy to the people around you.

I confess to being a back road junky. I will take wrong turns or continue along a road, just because. I love to see the different landscapes, colours, building and whatever else cannot be seen while we are driving on a main road. Admittedly, I sometimes find myself on a country road that I had no intention of being on.. Usually that is when I find something that cries out to me.. Stop… come back, and I do. I pull over, there is little to no traffic, put on my emergency lights and get out.
In the summer or in other seasons where foliage and filled in landscapes, catch the eye, the buildings can go unnoticed. Not the other day, I stood on the empty road, and just took in the quiet, the different shades of blue/gray in the skies, and the personality of the building that once was.

Somehow the snow and the wisps of dried vegetation that poked out here and there, gave the building a charm, I don’t know would be there when the trees were in full bloom. Maybe in the fall with the autumn colours. Come September/October, if I remember, and IF I can find it again. I should check it out.

Time to find a main road, so that I can get back on track, do what needs doing and head home …
Today is a hospital day. Please keep us in your prayers, send positive, healing energy, we will hear today, what the doctors have put together for us.
Know that we appreciate all the kinds words, your thoughtful caring “presence” in our lives is truly a blessing.
Blessings be….

*#29 Be Cheerful and Easygoing
Everything has a way of turning out alright in the end. Relax and always try to think positively *
PL Calendar *

turn on the light please or open the light please
the date has been moved ahead, or has it been pushed back

does that picture have meaning, or is the meaning the picture
close the light, or shut the light
I realized that we were miles apart on that one thought
you really were adamant and for me.. simply, it didn’t matter
what mattered, was that you be happy, I let it go
instead, I said, I loved you….
and my heart sent loving thoughts your way,
you laughed, and that was that.

Miss Piggy waves hello.. a cheerful pot of tea, she is dropping in to wish you well, We have a bright sunny day here, milder temperatures too. I think I heard thunder rolling across the winter night sky in the early morning hours. Warmer air, passing over and pushing down on the colder air below.
Works for me. What ever you are doing, where ever you are going.. May the rays of positive energy bless your day today !!
Oyashikiri
You are loved, today and everyday!
and no, Miss Piggy did not follow me home.

Door – usually we think of a physical barrier that opens, closes, revolves, but what about the doorway to our dream states, or entrance to another realm. When Alexander posted this picture in earlier January of this year, I was immediately transported to another place, a state of mind/Being. I had no words to describe how it made me feel, it just spoke volumes to me.
I immediately texted him asking for permission to use this photo, this is a copy, to see his original post, please visit ice art Jan 22.18
The picture for me puts a visual on the “feeling” of some of my dreams. His 1st picture in that blog, reminds me of when I am searching looking out, and this one I’ve posted, reminds me, or gives me a feeling of happiness and joy. He was on Lake Ontario, he looked, he saw, and he captured.
Not a physical door, but definitely for me, a doorway, an experience of walking through to another “world”. For “real” tangible doors, you need to link to Norm 2.0 and from there follow the links to all the other bloggers who post to this feature.
Thanks for sharing today, it is a beautiful day, and you are all part of my sunshine!
Oyashikiri
a special thanks to Alexander Lautsyus for allowing me to share his “works” with you
and to you Norm for indulging “my” love of all doors/doorways
PL Precept #1 Life is Art

Perogies – finally after weeks of thinking about it, I got a package and did them up for lunch. It has been years and years since I last had Perogies, were they as I remembered them..yes and no. They did taste of potatoes, and this package said they were filled with 3 kinds of cheese. All in all it was a good lunch. 4% sour cream, steamed veggies, sprinkled with garlic and seasoning.
Today was about “follow through” tomorrow’s lesson is about living a fulfilled life every day by utilizing things, money , knowledge/energy to their fullest. Since we got the news that my husband’s illness would be something that we will have to adjust to, we are both working daily to ensure that we stay in a positive, and healthy “mode”.. part of this for both of us, is to remove clutter and negatives, and to rejoice in discovering or rediscovering people and things that we like/enjoy.
Perogies, is a small something, but an example of wanting the experience again, so I did it. I have also been diligent in removing items that simply clutter, and no longer hold interest in my day-to-day. As my husband is fond of saying, “if you do need it, or something like it, you need only go and get whatever it is, when you need it” It has taken awhile but he has said it often enough that I now “think it” and I am taking action.
It is amazing how much better I feel with each new truck load of merchandise that leaves, there is still a lot more to de-clutter, but I am making headway. In doing so, I have rediscovered a new excitement in my creativity, my imagination is able to move at lightening speed when I least expect it to.
Plus I enjoy knowing that someone else will find the crafting tools, etc. that I no longer want and it will flame their creativity. What a win, win.

stark, cloudy, bleak, no, not bleak, just gray
what is there to say
the water looks dark, cold and uninviting
no need to test it with my toe
by the time I walk across the snow-covered grounds
my feet and toes will no longer be cozy warm
I think I will pass, and not go near the water’s edge
that is something I can do on another day
meanwhile I will view from afar
the far away shoreline, before
I head back, following the path that I’ve taken
back to the truck.
Not really exciting, but refreshing, yes.
A winter’s day, shown in shades of gray

I found some colour to brighten the gray
I will come back another day
We are heading into a storm
for winter, this is the norm
after all this is Canada eh!
