I wanted to, but life got in the way.

surrounded by activity, yet alone

Over the holidays I read prose, poems and thoughts that expressed, the reality of feeling alone in life. Gave me pause to think about my own life, my memories, and the people who have come and gone over the years.

nights of contemplation

There were days, nights even weeks, when I was lost in a dreamworld of my own. Questioning the emotion of love, of loving being loved, What I have learned over the years, is forget about expectations, they are your journey and no one elses. Two people can stand in the same room side by side, and not see the same things at all.

In PL, we are given the tools to realize that the person we have to love is ourselves, only in knowing who we are, and our needs can we share them with someone else. Unconditional love is not easy. But I believe it is attainable. To know sadness, you have had to know happiness. Being human is not a flaw, it is a blessing. To experience life, we have to let go and welcome new energy.

Everyone wishes to be happy and lead a happy life. In PL we can experience true joy and happiness when we are able to freely express our unique individuality )Makoto) in each moment of our lives/

Peace day

Always live with World Peace in your Heart. Each and every one of your actions can inspire peace within your family, your community and the world around you. This peace will eventually help lead to World Peace.

Perfect Liberty 2019,1

Today we will begin the Day of Peace ceremony at 10: a.m. followed by our regular Sunday service. Through the Day of Peace ceremony, we pray for World Peace and dedicate ourselves to live as peaceful human beings in our own worlds which include our home, school, work and community.

Everyone is welcome, not everyone can come to the church itself, if there is no church near you, we invite you to join us in prayer at 10: a.m. with a moment of silence and prayer of your own, committing to helping in the attaining of world peace. Love begins at home. within ourselves.

ho ho hope!

Good morning everyone… the season is on us. Songs on the radio, a special channel devoted to the music of the season. On the telly we have the Hallmark channel already showing their “feel good” movies. What about us, you and me, the marketing departments, the promotions, adverts, they are all prepared. In the States I guess it will happen real quick like once their Thanksgiving is over. No I don’t usually speak this way, (real quick like) but I liked the sound. The keys flowed with a rhythm.

It is early, but the snow machines are out, I can hear them rolling down the sidewalk. In some way, form or another, we have started to think of how we will portion ourselves up to be with friends, family and loved ones. On a personal level, we are not companies that can delegate and assign different tasks to various departments to reach a goal, we have to do it for ourselves.

In a conversation recently it was suggest that I be the adult and this meant in the situation we were discussing, that I should be more responsible myself. and take action accordingly. Had me wondering just what it means to be an adult. We (as parents) were the ones rushing around getting gifts, hiding them all to make “others” (we hoped) happy an surprised on Xmas day. But……………………. what about us, the individual, what is it about being an adult that sets us apart, from the ones who have dreams and wishes. Why are we responsible for making others happy.

In PL we believe that each and everyone of us, is responsible for US. If I cannot make myself happy, how can I expect someone else to make me happy. Be true to one’s SELF. We live a moment and we move on. Also we want others to be happy and we do our best to open our hearts to them. That is why we pray for the guidance to enable us to be a “good person” and to do our best for others and society. Adult or otherwise*, these are the teachings of PL.

PL Principle 1 (of of 21) I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto (sincerity) into all I say and do.

The early morning light, was not going to get any brighter, yet I found the sight of the single tree still standing with its crisp mantle of dusty orange leaves, appealing.

falling snow invites the visitor to linger

I found today to be beautiful, it was moody, it was stirring, most of all it was full of expressions waiting to be discovered.

Appreciate the Makoto (sincerity) of the people who came before you. Everything we have today was built upon the hard work of our ancestors and the people who came before us. Always remember to be thankful and humble and continue to build on their past successes.

Perfect Liberty 2019,11

The 11th. Ancestors day ceremony, is one of my favourites, today’s service was powerful

Voices in unison we prayed, heads bent in reverence and respect for our loved ones, and those who came forward and went into battle to keep us all free from those who would do us harm.

Where-ever you are in the world, please continue to pray for world peace.

Please note that tomorrow, I am taking my “unreliable” “malfunctioning” PC back to the store for a check up. I will be back asap.

contrasts

Sometimes we see the changes we are experiencing … and sometimes, we are so caught up in living the moment, we actually see only the frame we are in.

Note to self.. focus on present, but also, expand your awareness to include more than just your SELF.

The shortcut to progress is to listen with a humble mind. If you are stuck in your own ways, you will eventually become bogged down. Let’s remember to be humble, learning what we can from the knowledge, advice and suggestions of others.

The hidden door

If not for the little touch of red on the latch, I would have missed this door. I did include this door in another blog it was among other doors, and thought it deserved a feature of its own.

There are days when I want to blend in and disappear. Yes it happens to me, and I suspect each one of us at some time has had that feeling.. Where you just want the world to keep rolling along, so you can catch your breath, or simply veg.

Instead of worrying do something about it. It doesn’t help to over think situations such as “what if this happens?” or “Things might up that way” Instead be proactive and change how you see and do things in each situation.

Perfect Liberty 3 2019

Sine my husband’s passing have found it very difficult to do some of the things that need doing. example. Going upstairs to his offices and going through paperwork. Clearing out furniture and objects has not been a problem, yet for some reason, the filing cabinets have been like the door above, I don’t seem them. If I do, I walk right by.

There are times in life, when we have to “see” the issue, and then do something about it. In my case I have asked for help. And today, I will go to church and pray, giving thanks for my blessings, and express my gratitude that I have friends to turn to, and of course, I KNOW that PL Precept # 11 Always be with God. God is always with me.

A friend passed on the other day, massive stroke, one day he was walking in the sunshine between tall trees on one of his favourite walking trails with a friend, the next day he was gone. He was liked by his friends because he always said, he was poor in material things, but had an abundance of riches spiritually and in his friendships. Caring, gentle and understanding, he will be missed by all who knew him.

on a hill far away

Driving along one day, I spied a happy face. It meant a bit of a climb, but I wanted a close up. Happy under the sun, we shared several of moments in contemplation, the stones, the surroundings and I. Happiness is being alive, to take in and bask in the wonder of the world around us. Where ever you may be. Day or night, you are never alone.

Make every moment count!

Perfect Liberty Precept #21 Live in Perfect Liberty

You are all part of my world and I pray each day for your health, happiness and prosperity. Love to you always.

wordless Wednesday

rust you say!

Nay it is art…

under the majesty of the sky

the temperament of the clouds

the treasure lay,

surrounded by a crowd of flowers

lush and green waving in the breeze

cheerfully saying hello to passersby

oh… for a closer look

checking mirrors back and front,

I pulled over to seek my treasure out

IMG_20190831_112744_resized_20190901_123148650

not gems that gleam in the sun

but a sturdy piece of artwork

that has been lovingly blessed each day

by natures wonderful expressions

(most call it weather)

set in concrete for all to see,

this piece of art has grown lovelier with each passing season

I can’t say for sure, but I would guess

that not many are struck by its beauty

or come to admire, yet pass it each day

such is life, in French there is a saying

“to each his/her own”

You see rust, you say! Lad show me the way!

Day 8 of the PL calendar

First accept Everything

Life is filled with moments, sometimes happy and at times inconvenient.  It is important to first accept every situation as it occurs and try to accept and understand it for what it is.

Bom dia!! Greetings on another bright sunny morning.  Mid week already, where doe the time go.

IMG_1618

It was  fantastic day yesterday to travel the roads, the trees along the highway are starting to bud, I could feel the anticipation in every direction.  The water levels were still very high as we approached the West Island (heading into Montreal).  We observed that the water was still half way up the trees that would usually be above the water line on dry land.

Please take time to remember that tho’ the weather is currently dry, there are thousands who have suffered severe water damage over the last weeks, and need our prayers.  Not just a few, but many people have lost year of memories and accumulated treasures, and are finding themselves in a place of sadness with weeks and months of rebuilding and hard work just to regain a sense of “normal”
