Words on Wednesday,

a child’s expression

so much innocence

the emotion just happens

as we mature

somewhere, some how

we find ways

to hide or not show

how we truly feel

and in time

we ourselves forget

that the facade

is really just that

an outer face

and not what

we are feeling

tag, your turn

rensei-2016-h

Life is happily moving along, life is very good, there appears to be chaos around you, but in your little world, each day is a brand new, happy day.

And then, and then, surprise, the magic wand comes around and a little tap, tap tap, and darn, something changes.

computer-imagejayeshprofitfromprices.com (PC search – computer cartoons)

You get a new computer, because your old, true blue friend, simply refuses to budge, you shut down one night, and it simply refused to wake up. Yes, the new one is top of the line able to do all that you want it to do.  However, it is not warm and fuzzy, it doesn’t remember your last dinner for two, it has not shared any real “moments” with you.  It is a cold black, metal box.

Nothing is where it used to be, and every time you turn it on. you just know you will discover another learning curve.  Sigh.  I know, these opportunities are sent to keep our gray matter from getting sluggish.  To keep us eager for more knowledge, encourage our creativity.

Great way to start the day, how is your day going?  Change is good, mantra for the day, change is good, change is good..

Smiles and waves, good morning, it is the start of a Friday, I’m told there are black Friday sales going on everywhere.  Even here in Canada.  time to take a break and go out to play.

I know my new friend here on my desk will be waiting for me when I return.

I eat because

p1000543

This house has two doors.  Obviously at one time the upstairs door, either had a balcony, BUT maybe not.  We have come across a lot of places with a secondary door, that at one time was going to be another exit, or a door to a small balcony, when asked, the agent would say, it just never got done.

In newer buildings I have seen doors that open to let in a view, but there is a guard railing (decorative and for security reasons) that bars exit.

I eat because I am hungry.  I eat because I am diabetic and need to eat at regular intervals, I eat because as a diabetic, there are times, I need to adjust my sugar levels, that are perhaps giving or adding to my headache, or malaise

Notice, at no time above did I say I eat because I like to eat.  Sure I enjoy a nice meal from time to time .. especially at a restaurant with a friend while we catch up.  Neither hubby or I are foodies, I realized the other day, neither one of us wills say, let’s go out .. we will and have done it, but it is not on our wish list of things to do.

We each have our likes and preferences on what we like to eat, and how we like it cooked. But, truly it is more of a..” ok have to eat, so let me see what is here…”

Pl Precept # 7  Everything exists in Relativity

One of my important lessons – regarding food. portion control.  ..not what I eat, it is how much I eat.. I can do with a lot less.. and not having to eat out, helps a lot with maintaining smaller portions,

for me, the perfect breakfast. small portion steamed rice, poached egg, and  Japanese or Chinese pickles,   dessert (mid morning taste)  iced coffee, with of ice, black, no sugar, no cream, if anything extra water.

What a great way to start the day.. How about you, how is your day going?

Respect and Acceptance

Mural on the side of an old building as you drive through a little town on old Hwy 31.

P1000561.JPG

The building is empty, there is a rental sign on the window off the front entrance. Where it had been a thriving community at one time, it is now a delightful little piece of history, as cars whiz by towards their destination further along the highway.

What seems so important today, can be a faint memory in the years to come.  We live in a world today, that has so much to offer, we intermingle with so many cultures, it is a time to prosper and learn from one another.

It is my prayer that we will not squander away, what so many have worked so hard for, fought for, and died for……

Lesson 13 of the 2016 =PL Calendar…. Each person has their own special qualities.  Each of us is born with a unique personality, and a unique worldview.  Be respectful of others and learn to get along with people of all types.

What do these items have in common?  Nothing, except they were all part of my world in some way or another, prior to today.  I introduce them to you, because, even tho’ they are part of the past, they are also part of my present.  Why, they remain connected through “friendships”

Our friends are all different, they are the gemstones in our  treasure chest at the end of the rainbow.  It is not about how often we see them, but how much joy and happiness they bring into our lives by being part of who we are, our memories, our challenges and our futures.

Friendships are unique and beautiful.  I am blessed for having had such beautiful souls thread their lives through mine.

PL Principle # 3   I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things.

a new week

What is this?p1000437

A picture gone rogue. Even with the best intentions, there are times, even when we do everything “supposedly” right… We don’t get what we were expecting.  Happens.

Do we worry, stress about it.. Of course not, we simply either do it again, or move on to something else.

p1000319

That works when we are dealing with objects.  When we are dealing with another person, or plural, people,  redoing something isn’t always easy peasy.  In PL, Perfect Liberty, we see each new day, as a new canvas.  the possibilities are endless.

I enjoy a good moan and groan, just like anyone else, but it is a moment in time, I move on.  that is the beauty of  Living in Perfect Liberty (Precept #21)  We are given the tools, to help us maneuver the  challenges we face on a day-to-day basis.

Perfect Liberty is unique in its way of offering personal guidance to members.  We are all so different, with our own personalities and characteristics.  Through consultations given by PL ministers members receive personal guidance tailored to their individual situations.

I already know that I plan on a wonderful new week.  Each night is about having a good sleep so that I can begin my new “adventure”

Smiles and waves, how you doing today? how has it been so far? Had your morning brew yet?  Blessings… have a super grand day, doing whatever it is you need or want to do.

It is said that one can’t teach an old dog new tricks.  I have resisted changing to this new format on WordPress for ages.  My PC died right.  I had to get a new tower, hard drive etc. For some reason, all my bookmarks are gone, Boo hoo.  Big girls do cry.

p1000221

Phew… I found a new way to get my pictures from my camera into this new set up. See good things come out of change.  One has to believe everything will be alright. Thank goodness I didn’t have to hold my breath for too long.

Everything is OK now.  I can safely put myself to bed, and know I’ll sleep =^_^=

1 sky 2 worlds

When the Lakota leader Sitting Bull was asked by a white reporter why his people loved and respected him, Sitting Bull replied by asking if it was not true that among white people a man is respected because he has many horses, many houses? When the reporter replied that was indeed true, Sitting Bull then said that his people respected him because he kept nothing for himself.” –Joseph Bruchac – Photograph: Orlando Scott GoffGoodSitting Bull, Lakota leader

Good morning everyone, I found this in my research today.  It was posted 4 years ago on the Parabola (The Search for Meaning) site on tumblr.

How well said, and so simply .. it brings us back once more to the individuality of each of us, and how our cultures shape our thinking.

However that said, we are not back living in a time when the differences were not known, researched, studied, and documented.  This is 2016 an electronic age, we can sit in our homes and watch documented reports of what is going on around us.  There are thousands of published reports, books, magazines, videos and spoken story books.  There is no reason for us to not know about our neighbours.

“Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized men, we didn’t have any kind of prison.
Because of this, we had no delinquents.
Without a prison, there can be no delinquents.
We had no locks nor keys and therefore among us there were no thieves.
When someone was so poor that he couldn’t afford a horse, a tent or a blanket, he would, in that case, receive it all as a gift.
We were too uncivilized to give great importance to private property.
We didn’t know any kind of money and consequently, the value of a human being was not determined by his wealth.
We had no written laws laid down, no lawyers, no politicians, therefore we were not able to cheat and swindle one another.
We were really in bad shape before the white men arrived and I don’t know how to explain how we were able to manage without these fundamental things that (so they tell us) are so necessary for a civilized society.”

Just some food for thought to go along with your coffee.  I find it extremely interesting and thought provoking that no matter who we are, or what our backgrounds are, we ALL strive for peace  and want it in our lives.

Fall explosion

6f38ad7bbbd84ac0728ba584d98b8947

autumn – the season of fire and molten gold

when the wealth of the heavens opens up with a glory untold

each year it is a unique explosion of colour

each day we are treated to the various hues

of reds, golds, orange and greens

they come together in a polychromatic feast for the eyes

that no artist can duplicate if he/she tried.

The trees stand so tall and proud,

arms outstretched towards the vast  azure sky

their harlequin adornments giving celebration to life

what majesty, what splendour

the moment is sublime, I feel so exalted

the exaltation is not exaggerated

59040f5c4fa48b6863218b1ce52cef00

my high is real, its natural and it is pure

through God’s grace, I am blessed to be here this day

I am filled with the spirit of fall, of fullness, of harvest

life is a cycle, LIFE IS ART

and you and I are ONE

Under the moon, stars and sun.
