Who says a dog’s life isn’t always easy. It is 80 degrees in the shade and the human wants to go for a walk. Give me a break. Personally, I’m going to stand my ground on this one. Ahhh found a place to chill.. and man I’m gonna just lie here till I’m ready to get up. If I could only get him to turn off that noise box.

We humans are always putting words and thoughts into our dog’s actions. Today I took the two whippets out to the country for some quality R & R with some of their whippet buddies out at the Breeder’s “spa”… huge running area, level terrain, shade umbrellas, huge wooden deck. Velcro the oldest (a true senior citizen) was fine till all the youngsters were let out.

Body language says it all, he went to the door that leads out of the back spa area.. and stood there, face pointing out of the area. Non verbal communication, “Let’s head” This human was enjoying a nice breeze and pleasant conversation.. Like Leon (above) my dog was not interested in what I wanted, he had decided it was time to go.

Choices.. choices.. Keeper his sister (grandmother ) to a few of the younger dogs.. was also showing signs of.. ok enough of the activity.. I’m ready to leave. When you live a quiet life, and are suddenly surrounded by very active, curious and playful pups.. you are happy to climb back into the vehicle for the ride home.

So what did I learn today – our animals, communicate to us, communication is key between all living beings. We need to be open and aware to receive … when it happens, it is a wonderful connection.

This next picture is of a sheep that I fell in love with when I was working with textile textures. I went through a phase where i went bananas over sheep.. this breed was one of my favourites.

How can you not smile when you look at this face.

The everyday things you do will show when it really counts. If you have a tendency to be careless about everyday matters, you cannot expect to perform well at crucial times.

I missed Canada Day because I was “under the weather” putting it mildly. Could it have been different, yes and no. In PL we believe things happen for a reason. I had a long day to reflect on how I got myself into such a state. The love and caring of friends, helped me to get through the “moment”… We don’t think we are being careless… “because, we always do something, or have “….

A wise Yoda ..” Change is constant, and change we must. We must be open to the observations and loving concern of others. “We” don’t always know best. ” One doesn’t always see the forest for the trees” ” Ok Yoda may not have said things in the same way. But you get my drift.

I have made a conscious decision, to be more aware, and to make changes.

One can only do one’s best!!

migraine moments

clarity is blanketed

the body’s message loud and clear, STOP, don’t move, lie down, close your eyes, focus on your breathing. Let the swirling debris of sediment settle fill the cracks, and allow the mind time to regroup and fall where it may.

let definition settle where it may

STOP trying to introduce brilliant, vibrant and chaotic energy into the reality of NOW. There is a world of discovery at your feet, stop looking into the distance, there is a whole world to be discovered and rediscovered.

With all the negativity of late in the press, media and being spoken and conversed about…. my brain needed a change of venue.

I have a very special friend, who in introducing me to the America he knows, sent me a video that stirred my emotions and left me wanting more. I searched YouTube and found this video by Ann M. Wolf. I would like to share it with you. please feel free to pass on having a look, if it is not of interest to you.

https://youtu.be/9-Lf9WTiawQ This is a video on the flag folding ceremony of the flag of the United States of America. It was done as a dedication to Honor Guards and the fallen from across America.

Church service today is at 10 a.m. and I believe that Reverend Eugene is going to try to send out a video of same.

There will always be a way. If you persist and be creative without giving up, you will find solutions that you had not considered before.

Be Enthusiastic

If you are willing to deal wth things, you will be encouraged to do so, and will be given a new path. Everything that happens before you is God’s work.

It is important to take the first step, saying “OK, let’s do it” ) translation Mariko Inagaki

Your willingness to learn will make you shine even brighter. As long as you are motivated to learn more, you will continue to progress in life.

It is not always easy to stay positive, to continue towards “the light” when you feel encumbered or surrounded by negativity. In PL we are fortunate to have other members who will offer support and reach out to us, when the light dims… My friend Mariko in Japan, reminds me, that together, when we believe in Oshieoyasma, all things are possible.

Let us practice this lesson with enthusiasm.

machine Sunday

I saw this cutie the other day, I not only was captivated by her “cuteness” I like the shadows of the tree on the wall of the new home being built. Hard/soft. This morning when I opened my mail I found a blog by a fellow blogger who I so enjoy..

https://milfordstreet.wordpress.com/2020/06/14/spring-planting/comment-page-1/#comment-32058 When I saw his little beauty.. I decided I would share my little Bobcat.

In a sharing conversation last night with a fellow “hokyoshi” (minister) in PL, Perfect Liberty, and a friend in Japan also PL (Minister’s wife) we talked of our concern .. how we need to work harder to maintain a personal connection with our members and other people in society. It is so easy to avoid being social, or interacting with another fellow human being – using the possible threat of an illness to hide from life.

You only need look at the media hype, and the listen to any kind of broadcast to get your fill of accusations, finger pointing, 1001 ways to avoid being near or around anyone else. There is competition in every quarter, the political scenes around the world.. all … centered on criticism, and negativity.

Machines, as cute as they are, and/or as efficient as they can be, need a human to work them. They function but do not have a “heart”. We are not machines, we are not robots, nor are we capable of really existing without humans in our life, Not roles.. ie. doctor, lawyer, teacher, we are not the titles of our occupation, we are born to live.. to embrace life, and to share in the bounty of nature.

“let us deepen our faith in togetherness..” let peace and harmony find its place in our lives.. so that we are rainbows, mirrors that reflect goodness and love. We are all unique and we all have something to bring to the THANKSGIVING table.

thank you Steph! love you.

I disagreed

hello there.. =^_^=

I’m usually easy going, I do have an opinion, when asked, I have always done my best to be honest with my reply, if I disagree, I tend to soften my stand, unless it is something that really is important.

Today I was asked about whether or not our church should open for Thanksgiving service on the 21st. Contrary to what was said by someone who does not come to the church at all, I feel it should be open for those who would like to attend, observing of course, social distancing, and the wearing of a face mask. Because our members are scattered all across Canada, the actual numbers who can or would physically attend has always been low in number.

Those of us who find comfort in being in the church, some have been with the church since it was built. (the new one).. It is our home, our sanctuary . PL has always been unique in how it offers personal guidance responding to problems of our every day lives.

It is through consultations given by PL ministers, the personal guidance tailored to the individual character and situation that makes PL such a bonding experience.

That the question even needed to be asked.. (.. WOW..) Needless to say, I disagreed with the statement that we stay closed, … and I spoke out. These past weeks have made me realize, that too often, doors are closed, and the support that should be available is withdrawn.

Ministers are front line care givers. Not only the physical body needs to be addressed, now more then ever, we need to feed, heal and nurture our spirits.

happy yummy

fresh baked tea biscuit, smothered in butter, and raw honey

That sounds soooo good. The doctor is not worried about my cough, or cracked and at times absent voice. Fixing the diabetic numbers is more important. The fact that for the last many years, every time I am under the weather or allergies hit.. my voice goes wonky (pointed out by my son this morning)…. leaves me wanting a hot steaming fresh out of the oven tea biscuit. lathered with butter and creamy honey… A good cuppa ice water (told to drink lots of water during the day) I’m sure that is to make sure that my new diuretic pill has something to work with…. a fresh brisk walk around Costco.. (a couple of times to make even more steps for my exercise log) makes for a full day.

For supper .. fresh roasted yellow spuds.. tossed in a bit of vinegar and Japanese salt. Steamed green beans… again the Japanese salt and black peppercorns… served as side dishes for the fresh tender trout fillets I got when at Costco.

If you get the idea that I’m hungry and anxiously waiting for my food to be ready… You are so right. Sometimes we just have to give in to the urge to treat our tummies.

How was your day.??

I thank the Universe for the blessings I have received so far today, and for the delicious meal that will be on my plate. (hhmmmm soon!!)

It is important to say “thank you”… Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself, whether it is food, people or things. Learn to accept everything, whether it is something you like or not.
