Be big hearted. In fact, what you are concerned about might be something you don’t need to be concerned about. Interact with people without worrying too much.

When a trail is closed it is usually because the forestry personnel didn’t get to clear parts of the trail that were blocked by fallen trees, before the weather changed, there is always a reason. sometimes it isn’t obvious, there could be a tree that has been snapped and hasn’t fallen yet, and again, the crews were unable to remedy the problem before the change in weather. Unless you know the trail and the woodland area well, stay clear until it is opened again. Please be safe,
Yesterday you saw some of the buildings that caught my eye on the way to Ompah. Here you are seeing some of land I hiked along. To get to the water, I had to go down a steep ravine to a level area .. where I was looking down at the water… it was so inviting that when I came to a wooden set of steps, I ventured down to the water’s edge.
Lesson I learned… If you go down, you have to come back up! Focused on getting pictures, I had not taken into account to get to where I was I had walked down a steep incline, I found the steps while I was walking the grounds searching for another path leading back up to the area where my friend waited in the car. !!
Look at the rocks, the beautiful old fence, weathered and worn but still standing Yes I likely overdid, I didn’t have my walking sticks with me and because the area hosted art shows in the summer weather, the land was cleared of fallen branches and the like. BUT it was gorgeous .. life was good, life was vibrant, the air clear, getting colder yes (we were heading for an evening of snow and dropping temperatures) I WAS HAPPY, JOYFUL AND FULL OF LOVE… fresh air, the silence of open country (no city sounds) Yes, my body had a lot to say about the walking/hiking and the constant in and out of the car… BUT it was worth it. I think we have all had such experiences. If we are going to be here (on earth) we should appreciate and enjoy as much as we can. Peace on earth, begins at home and in our hearts.
Enjoy what happens. People who can enjoy anything happening to them receive wisdom for the next step. Try to work on things without being overly concerned.

Ancestors’ Day Ceremony/service at 10:a.m. Nov 11. Saturday.
Ever find yourself wondering … why you are walking down a certain street, at a certain time? Looking into a storefront window, find yourself contemplating what it all means?
So many stories can be woven when we stop to really look at where we are, and what we are seeing, The following is something I’ve copied for you, it was translated from Japanese, so please take that into consideration when you are reading it.. (the translator speaks little English)
[Lack of expression] If you don’t express what you notice and leave it as it is, you will end up becoming a person who doesn’t notice. “Things that bother you a little, things that you wonder about, things that you wonder about” are expressed simplyas you noticewhen you notice them.
I will think on this quote today, yesterday I had plenty of time to notice things as la belle Bon and I explored the little waterfront town we had driven to .. there was a lot that interested me, many places sent my imagination into over drive. It is a tourist area, there is a lot to take in and see. The last year and a half has been difficult on the shop owners, slowly with the lifting of restrictions, there is a hum happening, I hope that we have one of our wonderful Ontario falls, so that more people will visit.
my view from the table where we lunched.
Today’s quote from the PL calendar.
Change your mind, thinking “it will be alright”. Do the best you can without being overly attached.

I found a lazy river yesterday, and instead of staying to enjoy the discovery, I captured pictures of it, then moved on. Reminds me of when I buy a package of dusters (swifter type things) and then sit then down somewhere when I get home and forget them. Somehow I still believe if I have them here, I’ll dust in my sleep, or …………………
Yes the paved circle at the church in yesterday’s blog was for meditation and prayer. There are different versions, but this one uses the space it has efficiently. I found it thanks to a search Eartha had done for one of her projects, I visited it, but again, I didn’t use it.. I captured it, and moved on.
This is a huge lesson for me.. one I need to address. and… I will. I’m due to church this morning for Ancestors Day service at 10: a.m. I think I will drive out to the circle and use it this morning before I head to service, not in the same area, but it is in the West end so will say ta for now.. will let you know how I do.
For anyone interested … there is a Paul Anka tribute today at Frank’s in SL.. there will be two shows. One I think is around noon SL and the other 8 or 9 SL for people who live in the western time zone. I have no idea who is doing the cover, but it sounds like it could be interesting.
The past leads to Now, and Now leads to the Future. Life is an accumulation of moments. Cherish each one.

The lazy river is in Russell, Ontario, there is a small park there, delightful place. If you go, don’t follow my poor example, stop and enjoy the moment. There is a cat there that I’m told is like a mascot to the place.. I think the lady told me his name is Oscar, but .. I could have misheard. sigh.. she told me that he doesn’t go near the road, he is very friendly comes for tummy rubs.. no.. not from me.. but he did come round.
The standing tree minus any leaves or sign of life, was surrounded by lush vegetation. On the other side of all the green was the St. Lawrence. I tried to capture the dozen or more ducks swimming along the shoreline but they were too far off, and I didn’t have my camera, being the driver of yesterday’s jaunt, I had not expected to be taking pictures, one should never make that assumption, I’ll eventually learn.
I tried to find another way closer to the water but the only “easy” way was to climb up a grassy embankment and get to the road, and then walk down to the bridge. By the time I parked and got to the bridge, they were specs in the distance. However that said, they were chatting and singing as they sailed down towards wherever they were heading. There were a lot of birds in the trees too, we just didn’t or couldn’t see them.

Long Sault Parkway – a surprise .. this was not where we were heading, but it is where we ended up.. The Long Sault Parkway is a series of 11 island that were created from high points of land after the flooding of the St. Lawrence river during the construction of the Seaway in 1950’s. for more info. on the Long Sault Parkway visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Sault_Parkway
We drove the whole 10.1 kilometers (6.3 miles) then continued on to Preston and highway 416 to get back to Ottawa. We couldn’t have had a better day for a drive. It was hot, but walking along pathways we found that took us along the banks of the St. Lawrence, offered up wonderful breezes off the water. We saw lots of water =^_^= Stopped at more than one beach!
Being a “vacation” day, we treated ourselves to hot fries from a chip truck, they also served up the most wonderful hamburgers.. and yes, we indulged.. DELICIOUS… Dessert – salted caramel ice capp.!!!! yes.. its true !!!!!! (yes from Tim Hortons)
You’re happy, I’m happy. Have the mindset of “good for you, good for me”. Express yourself in a way that makes others happy.
came across this duck while strolling, he was more interested in his grooming than in me
I had already realized that my Nikon was no longer going to perform having received the battery tired message. These were taken with my cell phone. I tried to capture him with his face towards me, but he just wouldn’t stop his grooming.
This duck was another one who visited, he actually started to come up to me, then the squirrel intruded. I possibly insulted him calling him a bird, and not recognizing he was a duck. I’ve never had occasion to call or converse with a duck before !!
The birds/ducks were all over the place today, I should have gotten there earlier, I would have had more time, as it was I only got to explore on the other side of the road, not the part of Mud Lake I had been on before.
This side of the road the walking is more difficult, a good pair of hiking boots would have been best.paths were rugged, rocky and wound up and down the landscape. I’lll add it was cold today, there were other photographers everywhere.notes on this Saturday’s adventure from Mud lake.
