lost day

Where did the 18th go? I looked down to record my sugar levels and found that I had already entered the 19th. Checking my screen, no, today was the 19th. not was, IS… stumble stumble grumble.

However I know better than to let this little blimp start my day off in a direction I do not want to take, so I took my pen and made a messy line and began again. This is something in my younger years I would not have done, I would have torn out the page and rewritten it all so that it was tidy and neat. Isn’t being another year wiser great! What is a messy page when I am the only one to see it, and I am busy lady preparing for a fun filled day.

This is THURSDAY DOORS and I have the door I want to share with you. It was given to me by a friend who just returned from a trip, she saw it, and said “dymoon”… =^_^= I wonder do friends relate doors to me because I sometimes show my hard head….oh what the heck, rofl is that how it is said these days.. Rolling on floor laughing. You know when you pass the mid century mark, you can be a little slower at catching on.

Here is my attempt at showing you this door, it is pewter, and it opens, I am wondering if it will go with the pewter door I showed you earlier that was a brooch.

To the doll club members, this witch is not finished yet.. and no, the little door will not be part of her outfit. Just saying.

PL calendar day 19 If you are going to do it, put your whole heart into it. Your degree of seriousness will affect the outcome. Your daily accumulation of effort towards your goals shows just how serious you are.

Happy day everyone.

introduction cards

Remember when the calling card was the way we introduced ourselves to people we met. Especially when making our way in the business world, your calling card was a way of saying, hi, this is who I am.

Tonight, I have been cleaning out again, this led me to opening a box that had an old card holder in it. Wow, each and every card held a memory or story of an encounter made years ago. Some contacts, I remember very clearly, and others not so much, yet each were part of that particular phase of my adventure here on earth.

While working I took advantage of my home time to listen to old gospel songs, by Ernie Haase & signature Sound https://youtu.be/cqTPok10HqQ

The bass singer Tim Duncan was an amazing singer. The quartet was always upbeat and made music in a way that to me was toe tapping and joyful. They made their performances so “fun”, to do that they had to apply a dedicated talent to their craft.

This reminds me that so much of what we do, daily, is live our lives as best we can, PL calendar day 15 – A cheerful Smile and expression makes everyone around you happy.

When you do everything with a smile, not only you but the the people around you will feel good. Always remember to put on a happy face.

Saturday 14th

l am a bird in a cage

pretty and loved

yet I feel so alone

people delight and stare

they love my cage

and the clever way I get carried around

when the admiring is done,

it is back into a box I go

what good is it to be pretty and loved

if I can’t be free

Doors found

stopped to catch a look at what was behind the trees

Good morning everyone, I was very happy when I came across these empty fields and spied gigantic wheels hidden behind the trees. It was on the same day that I found myself alone in the quiet surroundings of farm land that for whatever reason, at that time, was void of human activity.

PL calendar day 12 Always pray to become a better person

If you are content with the status quo, your progress will stop. Always seek for ways to improve yourself and continue to move forward one step at a time.

Live today to the fullest

PL Ancestors Day service is at 10 a.m. today, September 11th. Tuesday.

vacations

There are days when you are blessed with the opportunity to simply wander. Today I took to country roads that I have not been on before and came across this little creek. I actually stopped the car and got out. Far from any well travelled roads, it was blissfully serene. The sun was high overhead, I could feel the warm rays on my shoulders, head, back, for a second, I wanted to run back to the car and the air con… but.. the sound of crickets and a passing butterfly changed my mind. I stayed.

Lingering on the old bridge, I was rewarded with a delightful pattern of a soft tobacco orange taupe growth. Delicate and interesting displayed against the soft and darker grays of the railing. Man made time was not important, being present in my surroundings, was all encompassing

This for me …. was a vacation.

PL calendar day 10 When you are not having fun, could it be because you are being Lazy? Sometimes you f eel blue or can’t seem to find the joy in doing anything. At times like this, just get up and move your body or work your mind to the fullest extent.

the wind blows

While the corn just sits, waiting for what comes next

When we flow with life around us, our flexibility is often helpful in the choices we make. Standing still and never looking around, means much of the world will pass you by

Then of course you can find yourself in this situation, where the rest of the world is simply crowding your space, and it has nothing to do with you at all. You are in the crowd, but you do stand out. =^_^+ challenges, choices and decisions. Here we are, starting another day!
