PL Precept # 1 Life is Art
On the 11th of every month, we celebrate ancestors Day. through this ceremony we express our gratitude for the love and virtues of our ancestors, and those who have contributed to our lives in a way that has shaped us into the person(s) we are today.
I speak often of appreciation, and gratitude, why because it is important to realize and remember that we do have much to be thankful for. I thank the Universe every day for the blessings in my life. I am alive and able to experience the joys that come my way. Sometimes I don’t realize it is a joy, I “react” but.. in the long and short of things… usually, almost always, I come to realize that the obstacle or challenge was a gift.
Sometimes we forget how wonderful something is, till it reappears in our lives. Be open to the “adventures” that come your way. Believe that if it is “in your face” there is a good reason for it.

bridal flower by Oli in Australia
Greetings to you on this lovely sunny day. The weather has turned a little cooler than it was last week, but I love the hint of zest, that little tang or crispness that has filtered in pinging our hardwood trees with a flirtatious kiss that starts the leaves blushing and in some case, turning crimson red.
Driving down the highway towards Orleans (Ontario) I was totally smitten by the wide sweeping colours that waved to me as I passed by. The sun was beaming down and all around me… there was pure happiness in the air.
The flowers here are Oli’s from Australia, they too are enjoying this time of year. No matter where we are on this planet.. what is that old expression… it is always after 5 pm somewhere, if not where we are. The sun works its magic wherever it is.
So do we….. PL Precept #8, live as the sun.
Music is a venue that brings friends together. tonight I will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness at a party, the DJ always plans his events to challenge us in our knowledge of music from the past many years. His eclectic style and library of tunes, means he is “really does ‘ challenge us.. who can name this tune, what date did this come out..etc. (DJ Nick from Michigan) He will be followed by a DJ from Oklahoma (Bluelou McGrady) who with his brand of Blues will have us moving and groovin’ unable to sit still for longer than a minute, no matter our best intentions.
When we share our talents, and give freely of our time to inspire and great good times for others, happiness and friendships blossom and bloom.
The venues for these events, the first one is at Pacifique owned by the lovely Eclair Martinek, and the second event is at a down home southern bar/club Rocking the Blues complete with swamps and alligators owned by Miss Kira Wyldfire, please note, all names have been changed to protect the innocent. =^_^=
These ladies practice living their lives, walking the path of true friendships and welcoming hearts, this is reflected in the people that work with them and the audiences they attract.
We all come from different backgrounds, worlds, places, our histories are different, our lifestyles could be miles apart, but what we all have in common, is the desire to be happy, and to live peaceful and joy filled lives. We love our friends, and we cherish those who have stood by our side through thick and thin.
This is Canadian Thanksgiving, the American one is in late November, and the Church of Perfect Liberty, we celebrate Thanksgiving every month, on the 21st. We focus on gratitude, appreciation and give thanks, for all that we are, and will be and for those we love and appreciate, past and present.

The pumps are gone, the mechanics retired, but the building remains… this little lot is perched on the corner where two secondary roads intersect. (see below) I liked its character. =^_^=
What were the cars it serviced in its “hay” day. The following cars were in a collection that I found in New Hampshire, this was one of the nicest and well maintained displays I’ve seen in many a day.
check out the bee on the bonnet. What a restoration! You will find these “ladies” at
Kancamagus Collectables on the Kancamagus Hwy, Rte 112 between Rte 3 and 1 -93, North Woodstock, NH. USA ( 603-745-0915 ) for those of you who saw the phone booth, it was in this location. Admission is free.
The vintage service center is in Madrid, New York, USA
Life is full of wonders. We need only look around us for the remnants of a time gone by. The world is a wonderful place, and we have had such a colourful and creative past. Today we live every day, starting each morning with a brand new canvas.

Isn’t this beautiful. A picture of a faded bloom from Australia, a very dear and talented friend down under sent me flowers the other night. This was one of the pictures. With the hours spent sitting in the hospital this past week, I felt that this could be a floral representation of my “bed hair”… Soft wispy and static charged.
Being in a different climate, and location on the globe, the vegetation will be so different, here we are going into the colours of autumn, which for us, are the reds, golds, deep metallic shades of rust and crimsons. Where Mother Nature has yet to focus, there is a soft peachy blush to the greens on the hardwood trees, Even a squeeze of lemon.
Please permit me to take a few moments to say a heart-felt thank you to each and every one of you who share this time with me. I know while I was away recently, this blog gained new readers, with my being away from the office, i saw mail, but could not respond. Thank you. Welcome. I could not be … without you.. I truly do care for each and every one of you. It is a joy and a pleasure to visit with you.
In Canada, this is our Thanksgiving week-end. please travel safe if you are on the roads, eat wisely, =^_^= think, “waste” or “waist”. LOL there is a spoil sport in every group.
Happy Weekend …. may your days be blessed with activities that will bring happy memories for years to come.

doors can be so inviting, complex or just plain in your face
whatever, when you see a door that is closed,
you want to go inside, especially if it is in a location
where had you come at another time,
it would have been open to visitors.
or like this old fire truck, we could look,
but access was not an option
I encounter doors, in all shapes sizes, and
in very different places
always a door that presents itself
is one of curiosity and intrigue
just imagine all the stories that can be told
thanks for visiting,
another Thursday Doors.

another day of sunshine
however,
soon, my days are numbered
unlike my neighbour
the firestation
I will disappear
and be but a fading memory
fall
a season of new beginnings
where colours
taken on different hues
when we see
an array
of rusts,golden glows
and burnt umbers
while tired ladies
of yesterday
settle down for another
winter
where not sunshine
will bathe and soothe
their tired bones
but where the winter snows
will settle on their shoulders
and like a cozy shawl
while away the long winter nights
waiting with them
for the winds of change

I tried wordless – didn’t work -what I did manage was to let my “fish” simmer away in the pan, till it burnt, a lovely shade of charcoal black
sigh…. on the bright side, I did get my blog done..
and.. I enjoyed every minute of it..

Have a great day everyone….
First Impressions – we all have them, when we see something, we take it in and in seconds, we have an impression
No matter the impression, I find myself looking at the details, and the story the building tells me.
Sometimes, the impression is one that is a statement, and I “know” it is not a place that I want to visit or know too much about it. It has a facade that clearly says…”I’m here, don’t mess with me”
This oldie sat off the road, I had to get out and take a closer look, this is the back of the house. We tried to find out more about the house, it was for sale, we took the details, unfortunately, the seller, didn’t have a web site, and we were out of State by the time we were where we could look further into it. I’ve not forgotten, and given the time hope that we will discover more about the house, and the selling price.
What is the fascination, don’t really know… we are on the look out for a property in the States that we can easily get to, and tour from there. Maybe it is just a dream, its nice to be able to travel into the possibilities. Life is busy, it is nice to have a place to drift too
my travels take me to a lot of places, I thrill on them all. Each tells a story, each one is unique. I feel like that about people too. It is not what someone else tells me, it is what I “see” for myself.
The past may play a part in what a person, or place is “today”… however, we live in the now, and it is what you see and feel NOW that counts.
PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others, matters nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.
PL Principle #6 I will not be stubborn, being captured by my own thoughts.
PL Precept # 6 Efface your self conceptions.
What impression will you make on the world today?
Have a good day everyone…

I knew no one was home
so I took time to roam
explore, and enjoy the decor
she’s had her doors done up out of wood
I turned to the Ford
I admit it had a charm
and, it wasn’t in a barn
this is the babe
who welcomed us in
when these ladies, give with the charm
I can’t help but beam
with delight
I raise a glass to the bad ass
owners who track them down
and give them new life
PL Precept #7 Everything exists in relativity
each picture, shows a piece of art, someone made time, to reconstruct, or build
these gems for us to enjoy.
on my part, appreciation, and gratitude is sent out to them for their time and efforts
just reliving my visit brought back a big smile.
