can we disappear

how medication /drugs can affect your life.

As a diabetic I have learned to never take for granted that what works today, will work tomorrow. We, like the Universe are always changing. Recently, you all know that due to my meds. I had a few days/weeks of oops and wow, darn, and golly.

Changes were made, and the waves took on a more realistic ebb and flow. However, it is never that simple. All the other pieces of “me” then have to adjust to the new ripples in what can be a very calm environment. One drug was changed, to be replaced by two. Sounds simple enough, and it will be once the body adjust. Meanwhile..we practice patience and relearn to stand still while what needs to happen .. happens.

It is in these times, that we give thanks, for the blessings we have had, and the love and the friendships that we have had enrich our lives over the seasons.

Let’s find the joy in everything. Are you looking for things to complain about> Let’s change our perspective and live a cheerful and joyful life.

Can we disappear, yes from view maybe, but from ourselves.. no. never.

Today is another day in our lives. For some, you are still enjoying a long week-end. for others it is back to a work week. Whatever, where ever you are. May you be blessed with the Universal love that surrounds us all.

PL PRECEPT 21…. LIVE IN PERFECT LIBERTY.

sound of silence

Pennsylvania USA

Is there a sound to grief. When a loved one dies.. leaves our world leaving us to adjust to continuing on the journey on our own. No one told me of “grief attacks”or the immediate excruciating pain that can be triggered by a “memory”

I was not told to expect exhaustion and disruption, I was told that early grieving is perhaps the hardest work you will ever do.

Without your former companion, you no longer have a “mirror” to reflect back to you who you are and what you want in life. Now only you can furnish the answers by getting to know yourself.

-Dorothy Edgerton, ( learningto live alone)

We experience so many emotions after a loved one passes, when we think surely life is leveling … we are hit with an ongoing echo.. of loss, pain, and a fresh waves of grief.

Grieving requires an enormous energy, but pretending that you are not grieving requires even more.

It is important to say “Thank you” Everything that appears in front of you is all material for you to improve yourself whether it i’s food, people or things. Learn to accept everything, whether it is something you like or not.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE NEVER GOES AWAY -it transforms from season to season. You may not always see or hear it. But like the steady beating of your heart, it lives within you and permeates all of you, forever and always

May the fourth

I was told today is Star Wars Day?

It is a wonderful day, the skies are a dull gray, with the promise of wet clouds and lots of humidity and rain. Taking out the recycle to the curb I couldn’t help but look down at the empty street, both ways, the garbage bags all neatly sucked into the curb waiting for pick up. Green recycle bins stand erect little little soldiers waiting to be relieved of their waste for composting.

Yup another day in the city. Ah we will have the postal worker delivering today, (no delivery on week-ends here in Canada). Smiles at all her readers, can you just feel the excitement of “expectation” … this will be a really interesting day, and it will be fun and meaningful. Look it is has already begun, I am having morning coffee with YOU.

On a more serious note, we have people in our lives that are undergoing surgery today, dealing with medical issues, anxiety. Whatever their concerns, let us join together in prayer … I will do special prayers today at 10 a.m. Eastern. IF you are available to do so, please join me in a prayer of healing. Let us expand our spiritual energies into sharing the burden of worry with those around us.

If it is Star Wars Day, then for sure.. Let the force with be with you .. now and always.

snow dragons

can you see his /her eye.. and her friend is turning away

Ok.. so it is not easy to see, and the screen and window don’t help. But outside my window out back is deep in snow.. and I would not have gotten the same look. We’ve had over 24 hours of continuous snow fall guys! Big white fluffy stuff. In the backyard for me, it fell over at least 4 – 6 inches of water that had pooled due to our spring weather of the last few weeks.

You have to know it was very wet and heavy snow. Beautiful as it is, it is not easy to remove, or move out of the way. So I was rewarded by the snow dragon coming this morning to say hello. She has had a great time, frolicking in the snow.. All too soon for her, the season will change here… I won’t get to see her till next year.. Mighty thoughtful of her, right =^_^=

My nephew posted a wonderful picture, he calls pin hole photography. New to me, thought I’d share .. this will balance out.. my screen shot…haahaha. love my funny. Goodness me. I am giddy.. guess it’s the thought that I might get out of the house today.

Dark forest- mixed media

dark forest 2

Good Evening everyone.  Mixed media is when an artist uses more than one media or technique to work on a canvas or project.  In this instance, I had a canvas I wanted to recycle I applied gesso, then acrylic and when that dried, I went on with water colours. I have used water colour on acrylic before, but this time I wanted a dark background, so wasn’t sure how the water colour would show.

I was pleased with the results, I sculpted the canvas first with different tools, then applied the water colour to bring out the “feeling” I wanted. My water colour pallets were the Medallic Accents (Prima) nothing too fancy, and the Prang Ovals by Dixon.

Because I basically work to express myself, I use products that appeal to me, either colour range, and price. plays a part in what I get.  One could say, self indulgence. I create to please my need to express visually what is passing through my frontal lobe. This makes for happy happy, I know I’m happy when I hear myself humming.. I paint, I hum. =^_^=

What does it mean, I’m asked, or what am I supposed to see? is another one. The short answer, is whatever you want to see. If what you see speaks to you, Enjoy. There is no rhyme or reason, my expression, whether writing, painting, or sculpting is because I want to.  I gave up a long time ago trying to please..

We learn in PL, we, WE have to be happy, it is up to us to be ourselves.  If we don’t know what we want, or what makes us happy, how on earth can we share honestly with another human being.  It is no one else fault if you are unhappy, no one can make you unhappy unless you give them the power to.

OH my.. must not get going on one of my pet philosophies… Just wanted to share with you, my happy “dark forest”  Makes me smile silly.

A holiday Monday for some, others are back to work.. hope your week-end was a good one, let us have a joyful start to another week.

PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather.  Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

4efef7f7e3503cced3dad81b5a0c3e65In quiet reflection today, I wanted to transport myself back to the Holy Land (Japan, headquarters)  if only one could simply snap one’s fingers and voila.. we would be standing where we wanted to be.

Wanting, wishing, does not make it so.  I am where I am, thousands of miles away, different continent, time zone and season.

On my mind this morning, is Rev. Toyomi Hirayama, he was the minister who did the translations for me when I met with Rev. Mitsuo Michishita.  Sometimes when we are living a moment we don’t realize just how much that space in time will actually impact our everyday until months later.

img_1759

Rev. Ise Kouji who I only met during my last visit there, was so kind so thoughtful, always a big smile.Unable to speak English, he still conveyed happiness at sharing and exchanging time with the English visitor.

The minister there from Argentina, Sensi Arthuro Higashigata, it was the same, so friendly and outgoing.  We came from all over to attend the celebrations and lectures.  The actual physical time was short .. but the learning, and discovery of self, is ongoing.

The Great Way – TAO – is not difficult,

for those who have no preferences.

When love and hate are both absent

everything becomes clear and undisguised.

Make the smallest distinction, however,

and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart.

If you wish to ee the truth

then hold no opinions for or against

The struggle for what one likes and what

on dislikes, is the disease of the mind

brick-bicycle

When the deep meaning of things is not understood

the mind’s essential peace is disturbed  to no avail

The Way is perfect like vast space

where nothing is lacking and nothing is in excess.

Indeed, it is due to our choosing to accept or reject

that we do not see the true nature of things.

Live neither in the entanglements of outer things, or the in inner feelings of emptiness.

Be serene (without striving activity) in the oneness of things and such erroneous views will disappear by themselves.

When  you try to stop activity to achieve passivity your very effort fills you with activity.

As long as you remain in one extreme or the other.   You will never know Oneness.
