Life isn’t about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself – George Bernard Shaw

nos momentos dificeis da vida

Nos momentos dificeis da vida….. in difficult moment of life,..step back, stop and listen to the voice within. If you can… visit a place where you can meditate/pray … take in the silence, the quiet, let your body/mind recalibrate, release negative and worrisome energies.. In areas where the seasons change, the transition from winter to spring can be a gradual change or a dramatic explosion … ie. severe weather warnings, forest fires, flooding..

You are never alone, even if at times it feels that way… Turn on the flame of hope… let the Universe help you to find inner peace.., The rain will feed the plants that are waking after being dormant for months on end .. spring flowers are blooming, the other day I passed many lilac bushes already bursting with colour.. I would have gotten out to see if their fragrance was filling the air, however.. I was stopped from following that thought process,, when I saw the mosquitoes eagerly waiting for me to get out of the car.

Life is a balance…. PL Precept # 20 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter..

Pl Precept #1 life is art

Here are some of the birds I’ve heard singing these past couple of mornings.. chestnut sided warbler, gray catbird, red eyed Vireo, Great Crested Fly Catcher ,Oven bird, wood thrush, hermit thrush, there were of course many others, but these are the newer ones for me.

old time village

My husband and I were visiting this reproduced “village of another time” I tried several times to get a picture without a human entering the old church, but … it was a popular attraction. Now. many church doors are closed. the comfort and quiet that one finds in a place that is dedicated to one’s inner thoughts/soul… are not always available to us. Instead what is being broadcast is the rants of unhappy humans, or voices counting and recounting the misdeeds and negativity that is in the world today.

In many ways, we have come a long way. Kudos to new technology and the positive imprints we are making in/on this world we call “home”…

For the sake of others, society, and world peace. Always live keeping in mind everything you do is for the sake of others, society and world peace.

PL PRECEPT # 1 LIFE IS ART…

Strive to Overcome Obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation of how you are doing things. The outcome is in your hands.

Yesterday was a day trip to Montreal to pick up supplies had ordered. Yes I could have had it shipped, but then I would have missed a wonderful long visit with a cherished friend I had not visited with these past months, due to “circumstances” Plus in Montreal at the shop itself, I got to see the owner and friend, who has been working very hard to keep us (her clients and friends) all in the loop of her activities in the stores, She just never stopped, bringing in the supplies we need and want. Even taping little workshops and showing us all the goodies that were there for us to ponder on.

She looked out for us, and now we are ensuring that she gets our support with the reopening of her shop .. still in a limited phase.. BUT people, Scrapbook Centrale is open, 7 days a week. check with Natalie for hours.. and appointments are still best. The doorbell kept ringing the whole time we were there. Her shop is a goldmine of paper art supplies that we can find no where else within miles.. Not under one roof.

In the same plaza there is a pasta restaurant that you might want to try, if you like fresh pasta, homemade there, the pasta and their sauces. it is an unassuming plaza restaurant. We almost passed it by when we first saw it, now we drive anywhere near, and that is our choice place to eat. To the right of the Jean Coutu (pharmacy)

Every day is special, but when you get to spend time with a friend, it makes for an extra special day. I was one tired fortune cookie when I got home. my little fortune read.. Time for sleep.

Today, is another day… I welcome whatever comes my way. Have a grand day everyone… I send you all the warmest and brightest wishes -filled with love and colourful butterflies of hope.

I disagreed

hello there.. =^_^=

I’m usually easy going, I do have an opinion, when asked, I have always done my best to be honest with my reply, if I disagree, I tend to soften my stand, unless it is something that really is important.

Today I was asked about whether or not our church should open for Thanksgiving service on the 21st. Contrary to what was said by someone who does not come to the church at all, I feel it should be open for those who would like to attend, observing of course, social distancing, and the wearing of a face mask. Because our members are scattered all across Canada, the actual numbers who can or would physically attend has always been low in number.

Those of us who find comfort in being in the church, some have been with the church since it was built. (the new one).. It is our home, our sanctuary . PL has always been unique in how it offers personal guidance responding to problems of our every day lives.

It is through consultations given by PL ministers, the personal guidance tailored to the individual character and situation that makes PL such a bonding experience.

That the question even needed to be asked.. (.. WOW..) Needless to say, I disagreed with the statement that we stay closed, … and I spoke out. These past weeks have made me realize, that too often, doors are closed, and the support that should be available is withdrawn.

Ministers are front line care givers. Not only the physical body needs to be addressed, now more then ever, we need to feed, heal and nurture our spirits.

Snow everywhere .. snow in my backyard. The big mound left corner, is the height of the snow piled jut to the left of where I exit to the deck, it is on the deck.  Mild day today with rain later in the day. Spring is having a fling today.

PL Calendar day 14

Being considerate of others is just as important as what works for you

Always be mindful of the situations of others, not just your own.  To have a good relationship with those around you, always think of what I important to them too.

snow, snow and more snow.  With the rain later today, and mild temperature …Image-flying

Reasons

IMG_0745Bom dia..

Sim yes, my inspiration today is the bark of this tree.  There is something about textures that appeals to me, I paint using textures, I create a lot of “art” dimensional, I have never analyzed why, I just like it.  After a painting dries, I will close my eyes and gently run my fingers over the canvas to discover its hidden delights.

After years of trying to take in all of what I am seeing, I know that I can see a lot of things at one time, some details will stay with me, some won’t.  So much like I did here, where I focused my lens on one area of the tree, I do that with life. I don’t ignore the rest of the picture, but when I see something that is of interest, then I delight in discovering what it is that is communicating with me.

If you are a photographer, you know  we can walk by a landscape a zillion times, then one day, the lighting is just right, shades dance across our vista, and wow, we “see” an amazing sight.  Just like walking out your back or front door, is different every time you walk into the “outside”.  hmmm did she mean to say it that way.. yes I did =^_^=

remember this picture..

IMG_0748Same day, same place, same time of day give or take, but a different tree. Each had its very own appeal to me.  “that day”  I suspect if I went back today, I couldn’t find them again.  Thus the harping on… live each day to your fullest, today is today, and tomorrow will be a new beginning.

After going on about “observation” I will share with you an incident this morning. I washed my hair (I know exciting stuff) as I was towelling my hair I looked down and wondered what was sticking to my night “dress”.  Hello I found the “bleeding” thing has a pocket. No, I didn’t know, and again no, it isn’t new. So you can see what I wear to sleep and around the house, does not get the attention  I give to other areas in my life.  Oh dear! I am human after all.  sigh.

With that, I will wish you all good cheer, make the most of today, I am off to enjoy mine. Thanks for sharing this brief interlude with me.

How are you

IMG_0885While out driving the other day. I reflected on that question myself.  We are asked, at least I am, on a fairly regular basis.  I was out driving the back roads, and needed to find my way, or get my bearings.  After a while, the farm land was starting to all look the same. In other words I was getting weary, and needed a change.  Searching the skies I saw a steeple off in the distance, in the countryside here, both in Quebec and Ontario, you can always count on a church steeple to guide you towards “civilization”

It was a peaceful day for me, and certainly the quiet appeal of the church sitting, basking in the sun, added to my “mood”.  The manicured lawn and large paved entrance was a huge contrast to the visions I had been enjoying on the back roads. Another visual of the differences in life.

I am fine, thank you to all who have asked. Life IS different, my personal space has been reconfigured.  To that end, all my past experiences, adventures, and lessons have served me well.  Possibly the enormity of the change has not quiet fully dawned on me, but it is present.  I feel it, and I do intellectually “know” it.  So yes I am fine, but am I REALLY fine,I think it is too soon to tell.  No one can predict the future. And, every day is NEW.

No two friendships are alike, therefore, how I am although influenced at times by my immediate circle of friends, changes, why, because at the core of it all is ME.  And the secret I am sharing, is that Me, myself and I is constantly being kept busy with the help of the Universe, with reminders that I am never alone.  Service yesterday at the church, where the ceremony of appreciation to our Ancestors and those who have helped us become who we are, was performed.  For me was very calming and spiritually refreshing.

For that is a focused prayer of appreciation and thanks to all my family. friends, past and present who make me the person I am today. I like me, and I really and truly do appreciate each and every one of you, for you touch me in ways that transcend mortal definitions.  Love is PEACE.

Day of Peace ceremony will be November 1.st. 10 a.m

Let us take today’s lesson, Express Yourself Cheerfully, as a thought to carry forward into the whole week.

Remember as we  begin a new week, that our relationships and the situations around us, reflect our own hearts and actions, like a mirror.  When we change our surroundings, it will bring about changes for us personally too.

Happy week ahead.

Imagine the sun streaming in on a cool fall day.  Isn’t there something wonderful about the way, light is transformed when it penetrates and shines through  a stained glass panel.

even the high ceiling is mirroring the colourful hues, giving the  room an aura of light.  When the organist plays, what divine inspiration must flow from his hands to the organ itself.  A true delight for all who are embraced by the sound,
