Greetings everyone… A bright sunny day shines before us. I started a pen and ink last night, but of course, since I do mixed media, I of course played with different mediums.
Life is much like when we begin a painting. We start out with an idea, and as we progress with our idea, we find that we want to either add or subtract from our possibilities. The advantage of course of a visual on canvas, is that we can stand back and review what we are doing. If it is really unsettling, and we don’t like it, we can either paint over it, or throw it out.
Not so in life. that is why we encourage the practice discussed in today’s calendar lesson.
PL Calendar day 7 Don’t strain, don’t rush and don’t be greedy
When you are doing something, you may rush things to get good results quickly. Instead, relax and enjoy the process.
Experiment, have fun, be playful. Enjoy today, it will never be back in the same way.

Sunday Monday – Happy start of the week everyone….
Bom dia…thought to start the week off with some colour. this was a water-colour I started, it has advanced several steps since the picture, but.. that was the beginning or part of it anyway. Blending, and marrying of different colours, adding texture, and different strokes applied with changing the brush. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is a surprise.
Life is Art, (PL Precept #1) how we decide on what steps we will take, to address challenges/opportunities, will dictate the outcome. We can either accept what we “see” or take creative measures to embellish or completely change what “was”

HI. =^_^= Wanted to show you a page from one of my art journals. This picture so delighted me at the time, I couldn’t pass along the magazine or get rid of it. Finally I started an Art Journal, or a Junk Journal… in it, I put in the various ” art pieces” that have caught my attention. This is one I wanted to use today, but… didn’t fit. So adding it in a post script.
Life offers us so much that challengers our creativity, it is staggering. I love it.
I accept that life isn’t always “fun” but it is powerful, it is an emotion that transcends words, happiness is LOVE and LOVE is GOD.

Good evening everyone, the above are words that we have been hearing for the last many months. #5 is what we were told today. I picked up the PL Calendar for the 29th.
Be Cheerful and Easygoing
Everything has a way of turning out alright in the end. Relax and always try to Think Positively.
How we deal with challenges that come our way, determines a lot, about how we enjoy our days, and if we are able to Think Positively.
My husband and I both would have liked the scenes we are living to be somewhat different, however, they are not. They are what they are. We do our best to encourage others around us, help them find their way in the “stories” that they are living. We also make time for “us” … and our personal “selves”
The messenger doesn’t always bring “good news”, but every one is doing their best, and that is really all one can ask. When we get over whelmed, we accept that moment, and rest. No regrets or misgivings. Tomorrow is another day. when it arrives, we will deal with it, one step at a time.
Whatever the outcome, knowing we have done all we can do. When the time comes for the day to come to an end. We will know we did our best. Meanwhile, we enjoy each other, and know we’ve come a long way, each being whole, when sharing with the other.
This is VERY POSITIVE.

Unwanted noise
beautiful trees ripped out
hedges disappear
in one day
single family home
gone
quiet older community
invaded
trees that stood for years
home to the “wild” life
city dwellers gone
no more sunlight
through vibrant branches
now, rumbling
loud mechanical noise
Last year when my Mother was bidding farewell to her years on earth, my sister who was staying with her. Passed the time, drawing and colouring, memories of another time.
Change happen, with “progress” comes destruction, to “make way” for “infill” buildings that are meant to fill in where older homes , single family homes with laneways, garages that held the cars that used to fit inside them, and usually have pretty front lawns, and backyards, big enough for small patios and gardens, either filled with flowers in season, or vegetables.
Now these homes when their owners pass away, are taken over by builders who tear them down, and put in two homes on a lot that was meant for one. Usually, architecture that is cold and sterile. Forget a lawn or garden spaces. Cement, pavement and more cold man-made materials, usually in various shades of grays and blacks. Garages if there, are usually part of the main floor, still usually too small for the bigger cars of today, so they end up always outside parked on the single space of the paved front of the dwelling.
Sad, but that is progress. If you are near, or can easily get to green space. Treasure it. Take the time to enjoy it. Listen to the birds when they visit (if they do) enjoy the fresh earthly smells of spring, and watch as the young flowers unfold to embrace another season of “life”
Life, can be fleeting. Live in the moment. Enjoy each and every second of your day. don’t wait till it fades away.

Day 26 PL Calendar
Maintain a Positive attitude and wisdom will come to you
Worrying will prevent you from having good ideas. Stay positive and you will find a solution.
Good morning everyone. I was working on a canvas last night, when I found myself writing, LOVE IS AN ART……… ETCHED FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
I started to correct it.. I read it and thought, oh it should be said this way, or what does it mean this way … of if I change this it will read better. All of us who write, know this little editor in our heads. Then I had a little flutter whisper… leave it.. look at it tomorrow.
So I did. I have decided to leave it. Love is an Art, and for me, it is etched forever in my heart, so… see waiting sometimes, is “good”

PL Calendar day 25 There is no reason to hold back
If you skimp on the paint, then your painting will not turn out well. Live a fulfilled life every day, by utilizing things, money, your knowledge or energy to their fullest
Not every day is a rainbow of colour, but every day there is movement and changes. Nothing in life stays the same. Let Go, Let God.
