a winter’s day

Driving through the take out lane, I saw the fog was lifting. earlier, not even an hour or so, I could see only two car lengths in front of me

I was heading back towards the city now, with each passing mile, the sky got brighter

bright enough, that I thought to stop to take a picture. Usually I am driving by this site during the work day, and the road is just too busy. I may have mentioned that I have been wanting to get a picture before the whole building disappears. It has happened before, I am driving along a road I travel many times a week when suddenly I realize that a building has disappeared.

The world around me is in constant flux. For some reason, the demolition, began at a time that for whatever reason, I missed it. I happened to go to the post office one day (it is across from this location) and when I drove out, it was a “WOW when did that happen???” That was in the fall, and here it is February of the following year, and there it still stands.

I did see an opening in the fence. However, my common sense, held me in check. No hard hat, and not wearing my steel toed footwear. Maybe I’ll get a chance another day. LOL if I were to find rust I would be in 7th heaven.

This adventure took place last week, today, I am looking forward to what’s ahead.

Dogs are capable and knowledgeable, and it is not unusual to see Dog people in high demand in the job market. Dogs like to work at whatever career they choose. Prince William, Elvis, Cher, George Gershwin, Mother Teresa, were born in Dog years

As a partner Dogs are extremely loyal although they think they know best, it is fortunate that they are usually open-minded. and will be open to advice. Generally speaking with their sensitive and compassionate heart, they do well in occupations or careers that “serve” or work in the best interest of others. ie. teachers, charity workers, doctors etc.

Unlike other Dog years the Earth Dog is less idealistic than most Dogs, the Earth element makes them practical enough they don’t lose sight of reality.

In China dogs are usually associated with justice and compassion.

We are living at a time, when the plus, positive characteristics of the Dog, could stand us in good staid.

HAVE A HAPPY START TO THE NEW YEAR. BLESSINGS, GOOD HEALTH, AND PROSPERITY always.

In the past I have used sludge from DeSerres (Tri Art) I spilled my last jar and have yet to replace it, so the above was done using alternate products found in my inventory.

To achieve a result, often requires more than one product, and when one ingredient is not available, if we are determined to get the result we are hoping for, we explore what is available, or easy access, and we experiment. It doesn’t matter if we succeed exactly as we had wanted what matters is that we do our best .. and try.

*** and *** that you are happy and cheerful while you are creating. Happiness is a state of mind. It is the journey that counts. When we are not open to every possibility around us at any given time, it could be a missed opportunity.

Seize the day, make it yours. Have a great start to a brand new week. Each day is a new canvas…Play, Explore, Live, take the initiative, be the first to smile and say hello.

Thursday doors 2.1.18

When you see a building off in the distance, you know you are going to get closer. No matter the weather or the road conditions on that day,

A simple structure, not sure what it is for, I wondered if it is decoration or for children to play in while the parents enjoy a coffee break.

When I found the door I was excited. Wow… it is all in the details.. rustic, charming, certainly a cheerful moment in an otherwise ho hum day .. (weather wise) My husband and I enjoy this park, in the summer, it is not over crowded, and the breeze from the water is always refreshing.

We didn’t get there last fall, due to circumstances beyond our control, so this was a very pleasant surprise. Put a door on something and all of a sudden, it becomes a much more interesting place.

Thursday door – dreams

Alexander Lautsyus January post

Door – usually we think of a physical barrier that opens, closes, revolves, but what about the doorway to our dream states, or entrance to another realm. When Alexander posted this picture in earlier January of this year, I was immediately transported to another place, a state of mind/Being. I had no words to describe how it made me feel, it just spoke volumes to me.

The picture for me puts a visual on the “feeling” of some of my dreams. His 1st picture in that blog, reminds me of when I am searching looking out, and this one I’ve posted, reminds me, or gives me a feeling of happiness and joy. He was on Lake Ontario, he looked, he saw, and he captured.

Not a physical door, but definitely for me, a doorway, an experience of walking through to another “world”. For “real” tangible doors, you need to link to Norm 2.0 and from there follow the links to all the other bloggers who post to this feature.

Wednesday musings

perogies 1.24a

Perogies – finally after weeks of thinking about it, I got a package and did them up for lunch. It has been years and years since I last had Perogies, were they as I remembered them..yes and no. They did taste of potatoes, and this package said they were filled with 3 kinds of cheese. All in all it was a good lunch. 4% sour cream, steamed veggies, sprinkled with garlic and seasoning.

Today was about “follow through” tomorrow’s lesson is about living a fulfilled life every day by utilizing things, money , knowledge/energy to their fullest. Since we got the news that my husband’s illness would be something that we will have to adjust to, we are both working daily to ensure that we stay in a positive, and healthy “mode”.. part of this for both of us, is to remove clutter and negatives, and to rejoice in discovering or rediscovering people and things that we like/enjoy.

Perogies, is a small something, but an example of wanting the experience again, so I did it. I have also been diligent in removing items that simply clutter, and no longer hold interest in my day-to-day. As my husband is fond of saying, “if you do need it, or something like it, you need only go and get whatever it is, when you need it” It has taken awhile but he has said it often enough that I now “think it” and I am taking action.

It is amazing how much better I feel with each new truck load of merchandise that leaves, there is still a lot more to de-clutter, but I am making headway. In doing so, I have rediscovered a new excitement in my creativity, my imagination is able to move at lightening speed when I least expect it to.

Plus I enjoy knowing that someone else will find the crafting tools, etc. that I no longer want and it will flame their creativity. What a win, win.
